Chapter Fifteen

Chapter 15

                Things had gone back to normal or as normal as can be. After Sarah’s doctor visit she had announced that she was pregnant and with not one baby but two. They all met up at the mall and exchanged her ultra sound pictures with each other and went a little overboard with items. The guys were lugging everything around in the bags. The furniture was all going to be delivered to their home in a few days and they all enjoyed the shopping.

Things were now going great. Morning sickness was over and Sarah was showing already like she was seven months along even though she was only four. They stopped several times for bathroom breaks and ice cream trips but they spent the whole day together. It was starting to get late and Sarah was getting tired of all the walking. She announced she was ready to go home. “Now when was the last time you ever heard a woman say she was tired of shopping?” Kale asked Chase and Blake. “Shut up Kale” Sarah said and then mentioned she was hungry again. “Hey, why don’t we all go out to eat before we go home?” Mel asked everyone. “Sounds good to us” Blake said after him and Nat looked at each other and gestured they were game. “Us too” Kale said. The guys picked up all the bags heaving them over their shoulders and headed to the parking lot of the mall. They arrived at the cars and separated all the items and placed them in the correct vehicles. They made arrangements to meet at the restaurant down the street from Nat and Blake’s. “That place is amazing” Mel said and Sarah could already taste the food. Kale said he was going to stop at home first and unload the truck and let Sugar out and that he wanted to take a shower and change clothes first. Sarah said that was fine and then Mel asked about going to the upscale restaurant as a congratulation dinner for Chase. “Everyone wear the best clothes you have” Nat said and added “let’s have a blast.” Everyone agreed and they left at the same time going in different directs.

           Kale started the water in the shower and Sarah came in asking what looks best. She held up two dresses and asked Kale to pick one. Kale just looked at her and remembered Kiki getting upset with his brother if he picked the wrong outfit so Kale played it safe. “Well, they both look absolutely beautiful on you, which one do you want to wear?” Kale thought he covered it pretty good. “I like them both” Sarah said “But I guess I’ll wear the sea foam green one. Sarah decided and walked back into the bedroom. Then back into the bathroom, “Kale are you happy being married and going to have babies?” “Yes, what’s this about?” Kale asked her. “I was just thinking about Brit and how she has a crush on Chase. What if that was me and she had a crush on you” “Well, she doesn’t and she isn’t going to let Chase know that is how she feels either. She’s not going to ruin Chase’s marriage now seeing how happy he is with Mel. There are a lot of people with crushes on someone that they never say a thing or do anything about it. It’s just a crush” Kale said. “Do you have a secret crush on anyone?” “Sure I do” Kale said “Who?” Sarah asked. Kale walked over to Sarah and said “Shush, don’t tell my wife but I think I have a crush on you pretty lady” “Come on Kale, be serious. Do you?” “No I

don’t, and never really did because I was always holding out for Mrs. Right and I got her” Kale said and gave Sarah a kiss. “Ok, let’s get ready” Sarah said and tapped Kale on

his bottom when he turned around to go in the shower. “Hey, like my butt or my boxers?” “Both” Sarah said. “Want to take one with me?” Kale asked Sarah pointing to the shower. Sarah looked at Kale then the clock then back to Kale again “Sure, we got some time to waste.” Sarah took her shirt off and then worked off her pants. When Sarah stepped out of the pants and left them on the floor she looked up at Kale “What are you looking at?” Sarah asked Kale. “The most beautiful woman in the world”. Kale turned Sarah around and held her from behind. “Look in the mirror” Kale put his hand on Sarah’s growing belly. “You are just so amazing and so beautiful. Let’s get pictures done together while you’re pregnant?” Kale said. “Ok” Sarah said kindda thinking Kale has flipped his lid. “If you want too; aren’t I supposed to be the emotional one?” Sarah asked Kale as she stepped into the shower. “You’re so beautiful I want pictures. That’s all. And then we’ll get pictures once the babies are born and all the way until they graduate” Kale said. “Sounds like you have this all planned out” Sarah said. “Well just the picture part, the rest will come once they arrive” Kale said. “You are going to be a really good dad Kale” Sarah said to him. “You’re going to be the best mom” Kale said back.
