Once again I sat in the bathroom with Steff fitting me with a wig. Once again I looked into the mirror with no idea who was looking back at me. Once again I was going to try and make a friend.

"I think we will start in a coffee shop again" Steff suggested, "That seemed to work last time."

"Yeah, yeah okay, lets do that." I say.

So we went off to the closest coffee shop. To my surprise once again there was someone around my age sitting over by themselves. So I went over to them and tried to strike up a conversation.

"Hey, what are you doing?" I ask.

She looks at me sourly. "Nothing much. Nothing that concerns you anyway." I instantly know that she doesn't want me there. So I go off back to Steff.

"Didn't work out?" She asks reading my mind.

"Didn't work out." I reply.

So we go off to the next coffee shop. This time there is only a middle aged man sitting by himself. I don't think I'm going to find much of a friendship there.

"Maybe this time we should try looking somewhere that would have people who share common interests with you." Steff suggests. "What are your interests."

"I like touring the world with my mum. Not much else." I say.

"You like music and reading don't you." She says, I nod, she knows me better than I know myself. "And you're a nice person. Maybe we could start at a music store move on to a library and if we still don't find anyone we could go find some sort of volunteer."

"Okay, sounds good." I say.

So with that we go off to find a music store. All of the shops are different in Paris to the ones we have in New York or Australia so it takes us a while to find one. We end up in a store that sell a lot of electronic equipment like computers as well as having an enormous range of cd's.

Steff led me over to the cd selection where I found a bunch of people looking through the isles. I started off by trying to talk to a girl who looked about a year older than me who was looking through the Melanie Martinez section. While she wasn't my mose favourite singer I still liked her music.

"Hey." I said with a smile.

"Hey." She smiled back.

"So you like Melanie Martinez." I ask.

"Yes, caught red handed. I am quite a Crybaby." She says. I laugh

"What's your favourite song of hers." I ask.

"I like Pity Party, you."

"I like soap." I answer.

We talk about her for a bit. She seemed to know quite a lot about her. But I really enjoy the conversation.

"Hey, what do you think about Lady Gaga." I ask.

"You know honestly I never really got it." She says, "She just seems like an attention seeking weirdo." I can't believe what she just said about my mum. I know I didn't want to be friends with one of my mum's biggest fans but I don't really want to be around someone that thinks so lowly of her.

"She was just expressing herself." I say defending my mum. "But I have to go now. My mums calling."

I go back over to Steff.

"How'd you go?" She asks

"I didn't like her because she didn't like you." I tell her.

"Alice that's okay. People have their own opinions and not everyone is going to like me." She says.

"I know, but I don't want to be around someone who is going to say mean things about my mother." I say.

"Oh Alice I love you." She says. "Now try that boy over there."

I go over to the boy she was talking about. He was looking through the drake section. I didn't really know much about Drake.

"Hey." I say, my famous starting line.

"Hey." He says, "I love your hair. I didn't know angles could fly so close to the ground." I laughed. I forgot that I was wearing the wig. At least I now knew it looked okay.

"I'm just looking for a friend, nothing more." I said hoping he didn't get the wrong idea.

"I would make and excellent friend." He says, "My name is Nathanial. But you can call me Nate."

"I'm Alice." This guy just has a fun atmosphere and it makes me feel really happy.

"So Alice, what music do you like."

I continue to have a long conversation with him. He is really fun and has this fun outlook on life so it makes it really fun to talk to. It's a very different change to Kate's deep outlook on life.

"So Nate, would you like to go see a movie or something." I ask.

"Are you sure your just looking for a friend." He jokes.

"Yeah, it's just that I move around a lot and I don't really have a lot of friends. It's kinda hard to make a friend when the longest you stay in one place is two days." I say.

"Two days!" He exclaims.

"Yep, two days. I am actually going to be staying in Paris for a week though. So my mum want's me to try and make a friend."

"Why do you have to move so much?" He asks.

"It's my mum's job." I say. Which is true.

"What could her job be to involve you moving every two days?" He asks.

I have to think quickly. I'm not ready to tell him who she is yet so I have to make up a small lie. "She's a pilot." I just said the first job that cane to mind when I thought of moving countries. "A really good pilot." I was pretty sure the way piloting worked you didn't have to hop from county to country but what did he know.

"And you have to come along with her?" he questions.

"Yeah, I don't have a father and she doesn't want to leave me on my own for too long so I just travel the world with her. I do online school so it doesn't matter too much. The only problem is meeting people."

"Right, I understand." He says with a smile. "It's a lot cooler than my parents. They just own a bakery."

"That's actually pretty cool." I say, "So do you want to go and see a movie."

"I would love to."

I have a really good time going off and seeing a movie with him. He's really fun and I really like being in his presence. I definitely want to see him again. The best part is I know he doesn't just like me because I'm Lady Gaga's daughter.
