I was getting ready to go home. Not back to New York but back to Australia. It was time for the Oceania leg of the tour and there were a few things I had to do. One was I still needed to buy a house for Cara. The second was Steff wanted me to go back and see my real mum. I wasn't quite sure how I felt about this.
Luckily for me we were starting off in my home state. The one where Cara also lived. So we were going to be buying her a house first. She didn't know anything about it yet. We were going to buy it and then surprise her. Kinda like what Steff did for Hamish.
I wasn't very happy to be back in Australia. So far it had only bought me bad memories.
The first thing we did when we landed was go straight to the hotel. We were both exhausted.
Once we had finished resting we got straight to business. We were going to look for a house. I had decided to put about one million dollars aside for the house. This was enough to buy about a decent sized house in Australia in a decent suburb.
We made a list of all of the open houses in the million-dollar range and set on our way to visit all of them.
I had looked at three with no luck before I found an amazing one. It was two stories high and had a massive back yard. The house it's self was a bit old fashioned but it was still an amazing house.
"We'll take it." I say to Steff.
"Are you sure, we have only looked at a few houses so far." She says.
"Yes I really like this one, I'm certain."
"Well then I guess we'll buy it." She says.
We go over to the over to the real estate agant.
"We have decided we'll take this one." Steff says.
"Oh um, sure okay. Well the auction is on Saturday if you would like to attended."
"Oh, we will be gone by then. Do you think there is any chance we could buy the house before auction. We will offer $200,000 over asking price." Steff says.
"I will talk to the owner but I am sure he will say yes." She says.
"When do you think you can get back to us." Steff asks.
"It should be soon." She says.
We go back out to the car.
"Wow, that went well." I say.
"You are certainly very decisive." Steff replies.
