"Are you sure you want to wear that." I ask as I look at Steff getting ready for the Grammies. She said she wanted to shock and I'm sure she is going to do just that.

I look down at her ball gown made entirely of a collage of photos of the both me and the two of us together. The artist had done a good job and the photos blended together nicely. But it was still a stand out dress.

"Alice this dress is really important to me. It reminds me of all of the amazing moments we have spent together." Steff says. "And I'm debuting the first single off the album tonight. I want my outfit to represent you."

Thankfully I hadn't had to dress up in a nearly as eccentric. I was just wearing a plain red cocktail dress then went over one of my shoulders and fitted to my body.

I helped Steff make the finishing touches to her costume. I was wearing a variety of accessories that Steff had given me over the years. Including the watch she had given me for the first birthday I spent with her. I don't know why but this watch was very special to me.

The babysitter for Joanne came so Steff and I were able to go off.

I walked the red carpet with Steff as people from all sides snapped photos. One thing was sure. The dress was grabbing attention.

People started to gather around saying Gaga's back.

We sat down in our seats and sat through all of the other performances. Until it was time for Steff to go up and do her thing.

For her performance they brought a large silver piano up onto the stage. She asked me to sit down next to her while she played.

"Hello guys. This song is a new singe I am realising, it will be featured on my new album. This song is very special to me because it is about one of the most important people to me. I love you Alice."

She plays a few notes on the piano and then starts to sing using that amazing voice of hers.

"I'm singing this song to tell you how much I love you. Even though I know you know it's true. I feel like my heart may explode when I feel the way I feel..."

She uses a lot of vibrato in her voice but the song sounds absolutely amazing. I just take a moment to think about how amazing my mum really is. Maybe I had to put up with a more unfortunate first 14 years of my life to balance it out. Because I sure knew that Joanne was going to be luckier than any person should be.

She finished the performance and the crowd started cheering.

She stood up and lifted her hands into the air.

The cheering eventually dies down and we returned back to our seats. With my hand is Steff's we continue to watch the rest of the acts.
