"Alice, do you think you want to give making a friend another shot." Steff asks.

"Yeah because the last several times I tried that went super well and I can't wait to try it again so I can have another fantastic experience." I say sarcasticly.

"Come on Alice, you can't give up." Steff says, "There has to be someone out there that will make a great friend."

"I don't know." I reply, "Every single try was a failure in a different way. The only time it actually worked out I then realise I won't be able to see her again."

"Well that's it." Steff says, "You just solved your own problem."

"What do you mean?" I ask.

"Who said you can't see her again, you got her number didn't you, so give her a ring and invite her to meet us in Perth in 4 days."

I get exited because I had really wanted to speak to that girl again. I got out my phone to ring her before realising the reason I hadn't rang her yet.

"Why would she come all the way out here when I have only spoken to her for a total of 40 minutes." I ask Steff.

"Oh right." She mutters, "Just talk to her on the phone for a while, tell her who you are and then offer her free concert tickets or something."

I know the plan seems stupid but I can't think of any better options.

I dial her number and wait.

"Hello." She says as she answers the phone.

"Oh hey, it's me Alice, I don't know if you remember me. We spoke at a café ages ago."

"Yeah I remember you." She says. "I really enjoyed that conversation. I was hoping you would call."

"Well here I am. But before we talk anymore I need to tell you something. So when I was at the café I was wearing a disguise. I'm actually lady Gaga's daughter, Alice Germanotta."

She laughs, "I know, and the queens daughter in law Kate Middleton."

I take a deep breath in. "I'm actually serious. I really am."

"You expect me to believe you after we had that long conversation about how stupid it is that we idolise celebrities and then you want me to believe that you are a celebrity." She laughs.

"You think I want to be famous. You think I want people idolising me." I say, "How do you want me to prove to you that I actually am who I am."

"I don't know, send me a photo of yourself with a teapot on your head. Then I will believe you."

"Kate I'm on tour. I don't think I have access to a teapot."

Steff overhears our conversation. "Actually Donatella sent me a really nice teapot the other day. It should be somewhere around here.

I laugh. "Actually I do have a teapot. Okay just hang on."

Steff goes over and grabs the teapot for me. She then take's the photo.

I send it to Kate.

"Wait, wow, you have to be kidding. Are you actually serious." She exclaims.

"Yes I'm serious. But please don't make a big deal out of it." I say.

"Oh yeah right sorry. It's just weird that I was talking to Lady Gaga's daughter." She says.

"Yeah, So I was wondering if you would be able to fly up to Australia in about 4 days so we could maybe catch up or something. It's really lonely being out here on tour and I would love some company for a while."

She agrees to come down and then we chat for a while longer. The main thing I notice is the way she manages to completely forget who I am. It's like she's back to treating me the way she did in the café.
