Yes. Herc works at McDonalds, imagine it. IMAGINE IT.
Eliza is gender fluid so if you don't like that just... Go away, pleasantly.
Okay but what is the weather like in New York? I live in Colorado wear the weather is crazy. Well that's just how the weather is going to have to be there too.
There's so much clothing talk because Herc was a tailor. He pays attention to clothes. It makes sense shhh.Hercules Mulligin
I watched as four girls walked in.
Well, two walked. The other two ran in holding hands.
I frowned trying to remember where I'd seen them before...
Oh, of course-they were the Schuyler sisters. They were practically famous back at school.
Let's see, the two who were walking must be Angelica and Eliza. That would mean one of the two running were Peggy.
I assume the other one was Peggy's girlfriend. Maria Reynolds.
"Hello! I'm Peggy!" laughed the girl (who was running) with her hair in a ponytail. She was wearing a yellow-orange sun dress, which seemed like an odd choice as it was pretty chilly out there.
I smiled, "Hercules Mulligan. What can I get for you today?"
Peggy looked up at the tallest one and whispered, "Angelica..." almost pleadingly.
"Yes dear?" She asked patting Peggy's curly haired head.
"Mcflurry?" Peggy gave Angelica huge puppy dog eyes.
The other sister, Eliza, turned to Angelica as well, "Oh please??"
Angelica laughed and the sound filled the room. "Oh, of course! But," she put a hand on her hip, she was wearing blue jeans with a small, hard to notice flower details along the waistline, she had a white button up tucked into it. It seemed a bit formal, but she managed to make it look casual. "You have to eat something else as well. Something healthier."
They nodded and turned back excitedly. Maria laughed, she was wearing a flattering red tank top and jean shorts (which a professional had definitely not cut).
Eliza let Peggy go first. Eliza was wearing a jean skirt (what was with them and jeans? In my own "professional" sweats were a lot better.), a loose dark dark blue shirt that short of hung off her left shoulder, and a pink bracelet that said she-her on it.
Oh, cool. I thought realizing that Eliza was gender fluid. Well, either that or she didn't want anyone to use the wrong term.Short time skip to when their food was ready
"Schuyler," I called.
Eliza walked up and grabbed the tray. "Thank you," she said with a smile.
I smiled back. She began to turn but I stopped her. "Uh, can I ask you a question?"
She laughed lightly, "Well you just did, but sure. Ask me another one."
"You're gender fluid right?" I asked, hoping I didn't sound to weird.
She nodded, her smile a little strained.
"Okay, I just wanted to make sure. I didn't want to miss identify you or anything," I rushed to say.
Her smile relaxed, "Thanks. I really appreciate it Hercules."
She turned and sat the plate down on the table. I heard Peggy whoop and watched as Eliza kissed her forehead. Angelica pulled Eliza down next to her and Maria laughed, her arm around Peggy.
They looked like a family (I mean they were, excluding Maria, but they looked happy, comfortable). I smiled, it was a nice change to have some nice customers instead of the usual obnoxious kids and rude parents.Eliza pov
I watched as Peggy dragged Maria towards McDonalds.
Normally we (me) tried to eat healthily but Peggy and Maria were begging... And how could you say no to that?
"Wahoo!!" cheered Peggy. "McDonalds!!"
"Slow down Pegs!" Maria cried with a laugh. Maria and Peggy were best friends who had started dating a few months ago when Peggy had stood up in front of our dad and declared to us (including Maria) that she was gay and loved Maria. Maria's reaction was literally the sweetest thing-she jumped up, crying, and ran back to her house, she lived a block away. I snorted thinking of it. Oh sure, it wasn't funny at the time-Peggy was heartbroken. But a week later Peggy received a text from her asking if she had been serious. A week later they were dating, having come to an understanding that their feelings for each other were shared. I just found it silly that all that they went through all that drama when Maria could've just hugged her and told her she loved her too.
Unfortunately life really was never as romantic as that.
Angelica nudged me. "What cha' thinking about?" She asked with a smile.
I smiled back, "About Peggy and Maria and how cute they are."
Angelica laughed lightly, "They are quite the couple."
I nodded and we watched, close behind them, as they entered the McDonalds."Schuyler," called guy who had taken our order-Hercules. I personally was very fond of the name.
I walked up and grabbed the tray, "Thank you." I smiled and smiled back.
He was big and burly but clearly he was a lot nicer than one would assume. He was like... A teddy bear!!
Turned to leave but he paused me with, "Uh, can I ask you a question?"
I titled my head a bit to the side a smile still on my lips. "Well you just did, but sure. Ask me another one."
"You're gender fluid, right?" Well that was a weird question.
I felt my smile growing strained. I nodded. I was suddenly very aware of my bracelet, the one Peggy had got me, it was the once that represented she-her, it came with 2 others. A blue one that was he-him, and an orange one that was they-them.
"Okay," his words spilled out like he couldn't say them fast enough. "I just wanted to make sure, I didn't want to miss identify you or anything." I felt myself relaxing, he really was a teddy bear.
"Thanks, I really appreciate it Hercules," thanked him and went back to my table.
It was nice to know that there was nice people out there, and that I had met one today.A/N
