resolutions
I count the hours till I make my New Years resolution,
I want to do something important like start a revolution,
Or make something better of my hometown's institution. But like last year, my dreams will fade into the morning light,
Because I know I'm too scared to put up a fight,
And prove to the world that they weren't right. So I count the minutes till I make my New Years resolution,
Knowing I'll never do something like figure out evolution,
Then I think 'Maybe this year all I need is retribution'.See, I've never been your average thinker,
Making my boat full of ideas and plans easy sinkers,
And so sometimes the people around me get emotionally injured. Now I count the seconds till I make my New Years resolution,
Thinking of a way to not end up in destitution,
But rather start my micro-revolution.3,2,1... It's here, the moment I dreaded seconds ago,
And it feels the same as last year, though,
My resolution is to fix my problems instead of trying to put on a show.[written for: heatherbloggs]
