Obsessed

"Morning Angel." I said but he didn't reply. "Morning Angel." I said louder.
"Check this out." He said pulling me to the tv above the desks.
"30 body's were found chopped up by a team of scuba divers. Seems like Miami has another serial killer on the loose. The people are calling him the bay harbour butcher-"
"What the fuck?" I whispered to myself looking at the black trash bags on screen.
"You got that right. You should go tell Dexter." Angel said.
Then Masuka appeared next to me making me jump."So Dexters your boyfriend. Have you two had sex yet?" He said.
"Masuka you need help." I said grabbing two coffees. Ugh this guy was so weird.
I walked into Dexters office and it was empty so I place the coffee cups on the desk. There were the blood report that he had to give LeGuarta in his desk. I might as well be helpful.
I took the file and walked over to LeGuartas office. Her door was open and just as I was about to go in I heard Doakes voice which made me stop in my tracks and eavesdrop.
"He's probably got something against her." Doakes said.
"James stop. Your becoming obsessed with those two. Leave them alone ok. If they file a complaint you could lose your job." LeGuarta said. That's the first I've heard Doakes name. James Doakes. He was becoming obsessed with me and Dexter. Maybe the whole fake relationship was a bad idea. I slowly backed away until I bumped into something hard. I turned around quickly and saw Dexter.
"You were taking those files?" He said wrapping his arms around my waist.
"Yeah."
"So why do you still have them?"
"We need to talk." I said with a little urgency in my voice. Dexter led us both to his office shutting the door.
"I overheard LeGuarta and Doakes and apparently he's obsessed with our relationship and thinks your forcing me into it." I said looking up at him from my seat. Dexter sat on the desk in front of me.
"I seriously have no idea what he has against me." Dexter said looking at his lap.
"It's ok Dex he's not important. You have me, Angel, Deb and loads others who have your back. Plus he has nothing against you." I said holding onto his arm. Dexter gave me a smile but he seemed distracted, as if he zoned out. I snapped my fingers in front of his face.
"Earth to Dexter." I said which snapped him out.
"I forgot to tell you. I'm an addict." He said
"You forgot. How are you an addict. Are you getting help?" I asked getting up so he was now looking up at me.
"Yes. I have a sponsor and everything. I just thought as my partner and fake girlfriend you should know."
"How long?"
"As long as I can remember." He said looking into space.
"Are things getting better?"
"Yeah. I have it under control but the urge is still there." He said. I put my arms around him and pulled him into me.
"I'm here for you Dex, even if we're in a fake relationship I still care for you." I said. Dexter leaned into me and let out a breath.
The door to Dexters office opened.
"You should be working not playing Romeo and fucking Juliet."  Doakes said. I turn around and roll my eyes.
"Got it." I snapped and Doakes glared at Dexter before leaving.
"That son of a bitch really is obsessed but I don't if it's worth losing his job. I swear to you this is stressing me out." I said.
"How about I come over tonight and take care of that, Detective Luca." Dexter said wrapping his arms around me so his chest was against my back.
"I like the sound of that Morgan."
