TWENTY-EIGHT

The first thing Logan heard when she woke up from her fourth nap of the day was somebody banging on the door. She knew that it wasn't Matt because he had told her that he had to work all day, so she was having a lazy day consisting of several naps and a Stranger Things marathon.

"I'm coming, jeez. Calm yourself," Logan called as she lazily made her way to the door and opened it, eyes widening when she saw her older sister. "Holy shit, Mason? What are you doing here? I thought you were supposed to do your acting stuff?"

Mason shrugged and brushed her hair out of her face with her left hand and smiled.

"Spoke to my agent and I'm taking a break for a while, the stress finally got to me," she said and walked into the condo when the younger Kade stepped to the side. "Decided to visit my lil' big sister and my future niece or nephew."

"Your future niece or nephew is pushing on my bladder, so your lil' big sister has to pee every fifteen minutes," Lo said and furrowed her eyebrows as she closed the door. "What do you mean the stress got to you? Are you okay?"

Mason set down a duffle bag on the floor next to the couch, something Logan just then realized that Mason had brought, and then plopped down on the furniture.

"I mean that I kind of broke down on set and decided to focus on me for a while. I'm twenty-six, Logan, and you having a baby made me realize that I haven't really gotten anywhere near close to having a family. I know that I have you and the rest of our sisters, but soon you will all have husbands or wives or non-binary spouses and I'll be left all alone, wallowing in self-pity," she rambled and crossed her legs. "But enough about me. How is it going with Daddario? He staying or what?"

Logan shrugged and sat down next to her sister, her hands resting on the small baby bump.

"I have no idea. He asked me out, but I turned him down because I don't want him to stay in Grape's life for me, I want him to stay because he wants to," she said and rested her head on her shorter sister's shoulder. "Our parents were deadbeats who only had a shitload of accidental babies because they were too drunk to find a condom, I don't want my baby to grow up feeling like we did."

Mason frowned and looked at her sister, "Grape will never feel unloved, because you're the most generous person I've ever met, at least when it comes to love. You give your whole heart and you don't expect any of it back." Logan closed her eyes to keep her hormonal self from crying. "Maybe that's why you're hopelessly in love with both him and Grape, because you gave your heart to come here instead of just getting an abortion or putting them up for adoption when they're born." Mason wiped away a few tears from her little sister's cheeks and smiled. "You'll be okay, you know. You're loved and wanted, not only by your family but also by your friends and I'm pretty sure by Matthew, too. And not only that, but you're needed. Grape needs you, and they'll love you so much when they come out."

Logan just nodded before getting up from the couch, "Really nice speech, but I really do have to pee. Thank you, though."
