Matthew pretty much ran into Logan's house, trying to be as quiet as possible just in case Jared was asleep, and felt his heart swell in his chest when he spotted them on the couch, Logan lying down with Jared sleeping on her stomach and chest. Her hair was up in a bun and her face was ridden of makeup, dark circles under her pretty eyes proving that Jared didn't like to let them sleep for more than a few hours at a time.

Matthew thought she had never looked more beautiful as she smiled up at him, looking so happy even though she hadn't slept that well for nearly seven weeks.

"Hi, I just got him to sleep again," she whispered as he sat down next to her. "He just woke up when I tried to put him down. He's a mama's boy."

"Only because you're so pretty," Matt said jokingly, as quietly as possible.

"You're pretty, too," Logan protested and laughed quietly. Her was running her fingers through the short, dark curls on Jared's head with one hand, so Matt took her free hand and intertwined their fingers.

"You love me," he said after a few minutes of just looking at their sleeping son.

"Yeah, I do. I have for a couple of months," she said and slowly sat up to lean against the back rest, somehow without waking Jared. "I know that you love me, too, but I didn't know how to tell you. Sorry."

Matt shrugged, "It's okay. Does that mean we can go on a date some day? Ask one of your sisters to babysit, maybe?"

"I would love that," Logan said and smiled widely.

"Okay, so now about your parents-"

"I don't want to talk about them, okay? They are so toxic, Matt. They ruined so much and it took years to patch things up. Carter didn't talk, Mason had panic attacks, the twins only trusted each other and Ryan almost got into drugs. They ruined so much, and I don't want to talk about them right now," she explained, looking at Jared the whole time as she spoke. Matt didn't want to push, didn't want to pry, so he just leaned in and kissed her cheek before telling her that he was going to go and make dinner.
