"I'm leaving now, I'll be back in a couple of hours," Logan said as she came into the kitchen while fixing her ponytail. Matthew was trying to feed Jared baby food, mashed banana or something, but he wasn't having it. "You have to taste it before feeding him, otherwise he won't eat it." Logan kissed Matt quickly before bending down so she came face to face with their son. "Will you give mommy a kiss?" Jared excitedly pecked her lips with a smacking sound, squealing in delight afterward.
Matt looked at Logan with wide eyes, "You're a baby whisperer."
"No, I'm just well rested," Logan said and laughed. "I really have to go, though. I'm already late and Esther texted me to ask if I'm still coming."
"Okay, have fun." They kissed one more time before she left for her hang out with Esther, leaving Matt to look at the mashed banana hesitantly.
"Why can't you eat pizza?" he muttered before taking a bite of the gooey substance, humming when he realized that it wasn't so bad. "It actually tastes like bananas, what the fuck?" He looked down at Jared when he heard him giggle and smiled. "Don't tell mommy that I swore, she won't give me more kisses if you tell her."
Jared didn't really speak yet, so he just giggled again and opened his mouth, eyes following the spoon when Matthew scooped up more food on it.
"You'll be nice today, right?" Matt asked after feeding his son. "We can just chill and watch some of those Disney movies, but not The Lion King. That one makes daddy cry."
When Logan got home, The Little Mermaid was playing on the TV and her loves were both asleep on the couch, Matt snoring quietly with his Jared sleeping on his stomach. She quickly took a picture of it before turning the TV off and getting a blanket to put over them.
