Chapter Twenty-Five.

Harley came back later that afternoon, she had snuck in and came up behind you her hands fell on your shoulders and started to massage the tension out of your muscles.

"God that feels good." You close the spell book and basked in the moment.

"You're so tense." Harley murmured.

"I'm stressed that's why." You tilt your head back and stare up at Harley.

She smiled and leant down to kiss you, god you loved moments like these there weren't many but you awaited each one.

"Can I help in any way?" She asked as she pulled back.

"Mhm~." You weren't really sure how she could help considering she couldn't read the book.

"Can you be here for moral support?" She laughed and gave a small nod.

She went to sit down on the seat next to you but you grabbed her hands and kept them on your shoulders.

"Keep going, your hands are miracles." She continued working the knots out of your shoulders.

You went back to reading but you couldn't help but think about a certain someone, you knew you couldn't concentrate when she was here and believe you, you tried.

"C'mere." You tugged Harley to your lap for the second time this day.

She fell awkwardly and had to rearrange herself so she was sitting with her back against your chest, you pushed your face into her shoulder blade and wrapped your arms around her waist she hummed in content and you sat like that for quite a while.

"I love you Harls." You felt like you needed to remind her every single minute.

"I know you do." Her hands brushed over yours.

"Yeah but with everything that happened with Galaxy I feel like I need to remind you..." You mumbled the last part.

"Believe me (Y/N), I know you love me it hurt when I saw you with her but you had your memories taken from you that wasn't your fault." You kissed her back through the orange fabric.

"I would never leave you, you know that right?" She nodded and moved your hands from her stomach.

She turned around so she was now facing you.

"(Y/N), I'm well aware of your love for me I know you wouldn't leave me, I know you care about me with all your heart and I don't mind that you want to remind me of that but stop feeling sorry for yourself. Yeah the thing with Galaxy hurt me a lot but it happened and you and I can't change that, so believe me when I say that you don't have to confirm your love with me every time you see me." She kissed your forehead.

"I know you love me and I'm pretty sure nothing's going to change that." She smiled and placed a hand on your cheek.

You were speechless, you've never heard Harley speak with so much conviction and you were sure that's what made you believe her. You kissed her and you made sure she understood why, since words weren't enough to explain how much you loved her you would have to do it through physical interaction.
