Chapter Thirteen.

Minutes had turned into hours and hours turned into days, you couldn't keep track of the days anymore and it seemed like you were losing your sense of time.

"(Y/N)!" It was Joker.

Had you mentioned that he visited every day for the past week? He always showed up and rambled about the book and how he wanted you to tell him where it was but there was no way in hell you would give up that book you felt like you were getting close to the answer you were searching for.

"Aww why the long face? Aren't you happy to see me?" No you weren't in fact you wanted him to leave... immediately.

Your approach to the situation was just to ignore him but between him breathing down your neck and asking you personal questions it was hard to stay completely silent.

"Joker don't you have innocent people to terrorise?" You asked in a bored tone.

You never gave him the satisfaction of him knowing that he bugged you, so you kept to simple sentences.

"I do but that can wait. I have someone I want you to meet." Your eyes left the book that you were reading.

The spell book was hidden safely in Harley's cell, you had cut open her mattress and shoved the book in between the springs and cotton.

"I wonder who it is." You were unimpressed.

"You'll like her, she's quite the lady." Confused you waited.

He had your attention even though you hated to admit it, you were curious to see this new girl Joker made this weird whistle noise and a puff of green smoke appeared. This girl was beautiful and you meant it she had such a petite frame and you could tell she was young her eyes were doe like the color was stuck between forest green and baby blue, her lips were pale pink and pulled into a small coy smile her cheeks were rosy red and you didn't know whether it was from embarrassment or it was natural coloring.

"Hello." Wind chimes, her voice sounded like bloody wind chimes.

She tugged nervously at her short chocolate curls her hair seemed to change color when she turned a certain way in the light, her nails were painted mint green and had small white dots placed haphazardly on the nail polish.

"H-Hello." Did you just stutter?

She giggled and you swear you melted your heart became fuzzy and a warm feeling spread across your skin, placing a hand to your cheek you realised you were blushing.

"I'm Galaxia or Galaxy for short."

"(Y/N)..." You mumbled.

You wanted to look away from her but you just simply couldn't it was as if she was drawing you in and to be honest you liked it.

"May I sit next to you?" Your heart was thudding in your chest.

Why were you nervous? You felt weak but in a good way and your skin got goosebumps when she stepped forward.

"Sure." You gestured to the seat next to you and waited.

You felt like you were forgetting someone important, like you were hitting an imaginary wall brushing it away you turn back to the girl next to you.

"Galaxy is a pretty name, it suits you well." If her cheeks weren't already red enough you somehow managed to make them even brighter.

"Thank you, everyone thinks it's an odd name but in Latin it means the Milky Way." You smiled.

"It's better then (Y/N)." She gasped.

"Don't ever put yourself down like that! (Y/N) is an amazing beautiful name and don't you ever doubt that." She nodded as if to confirm her words.

"Well since you two are getting along so well I think I'll take my leave." You had totally forgotten that Joker was still in the room.

Neither of you said anything as he disappeared, Galaxy looked at you and bit her bottom lip her hand fell on your forearm and your chest exploded.

"So what do you do for fun around here?" She asked in a sweet voice.

"Uh~." She chuckled at your response.

"Sorry do I put you off?" You take a breath and gather your thoughts.

"Your beauty disrupts my thoughts." You flush red as you had just said that aloud.

Her smile faltered for a minute before she was smiling with her pearly whites.

"Come on you sap! Let's go have fun." She stood up and brushed imaginary dust off of her blue jeans.

She then straightened her floral top and held out her hand, you gladly took it and she pulled you up you expected her to let your hand go but she held it tight and you started to fear that your hand would get sweaty.

"We are going to have lots of fun." And with that she was pulling you away from the library and your mission.

You mentally thanked Joker for introducing you to this girl because you could see a friendship forming and maybe more?
