Today was the day, well you hoped it was but you couldn't be too sure. You were getting nervous with every passing minute Harley was by your side and she had a death grip on your hand.
"Everything is going to be okay." She kept reassuring you.
You had asked June if she could help you in anyway, she knew someone who had powers that were like yours. You had waited a good three hours before June showed up with a man that was easily in his late forties, he had grey hair and steely blue eyes that made you feel uncomfortable he seemed to know what you were as soon as he walked into the room.
"Ahh, a purebred witch. I haven't seen one of you in a long time." You dig your nails into Harley's hand.
"You're stuck in limbo, I see why June asked of my help." He walked to you with slow steps.
He held his hand out and waited for you to take it, you dropped Harley's hand and grabbed the mans.
"I'm Josiah, by the way." You nod and he places his other hand on top of yours.
"What a peculiar tattoo." He commented.
You wanted to take your hand away but you needed to get through this as quick as possible.
"You had a nice life before. Your family cared about you, you just finished high school I believe and you had a promising future Miss. (L/N)." You looked to Harley.
She was the reason why you weren't with your family now, but you couldn't dwell on the past.
"You're connected to that girl over there, fascinating." He let go of your hand and you moved back to your girlfriend.
You wrapped your arm around her waist protectively.
"It's a strong bond, the tattoos bound you two together." He looked to Harley's hand and nodded to confirm what he had said.
"Correct me if I'm wrong but did you at any point after your death come in contact with a siren?" Siren?
The only person you had come into contact with was...
"Galaxy." You pinched the bridge of your nose.
"She made you forget through a kiss." That explains everything.
"Can we not talk about this right now?" You asked politely.
"Of course, I'm guessing you are eager to get back to your body?" You nod furiously.
"Is it okay if I talk to you in private for a moment?"
"I guess?" You let go of Harley and June takes her out of the room.
"This isn't going to be easy, you will use a lot of your life source and you will have to sacrifice what you love most." It didn't register with you at first.
But what you love most was Harley.
"I'll do what ever it takes." You grabbed his arm.
"I can't be like this forever, I can feel myself slipping and fading." He sighs and grabs your free hand.
"Just be prepared for whatever comes." You take a deep breath and bite your lip.
"I'm ready."
