Chapter Twenty-Six.

Four days. It took four days for you to finally find something in the book, four days of no sleep and no Harley. It was annoying at first because you just wanted to stop looking but you knew you couldn't because what was happening to you wasn't only effecting you anymore. But when you found it you were on a roller coaster of emotions and ended up having to get Harley to come settle you down, but that wasn't the point you had found the answer to all your problems. A transition spell.

"Are you sure this is what we are looking for?" You nodded at your girlfriend and smiled.

"It's the only thing that makes sense, there's no bring me back to life spell I've checked... believe me." The book was wide open and when Harley had arrived you showed her the passage.

"But you need someone else with powers to help you." You nodded.

"Minor detail." You flick you hand dismissively.

"Whatever you say, but I do have one question?" She fiddled with her fingers for a moment before looking at you.

"Will things be... different? Like emotions wise? Will it change you in any way?" Her fingers went to tugging her hair.

That was like a nervous tick for her, you had noticed that with the time you've spent with her she tugs her hair for a few minutes then stops to only pull at her clothes.

"It doesn't say that I will, but I can't give you a definite answer." You didn't want to lie to her.

"And you are one hundred percent sure that this is the spell?" Well you weren't sure that it was the spell but it was all you had.

"I guess?" You shrugged and Harley shook her head.

"There isn't anytime to be guessing, it's either yes or no. There is no guessing when it comes to someone's life." You knew why she was getting like this.

You pulled her close to you and put your head on her shoulder, your lips brushed her ear and she shivered.

"Harley, I know your worried... because of all that's happened, I know you don't want to see me die again and you won't because I promise that it'll work." You usually never gave empty promises.

But you had to have her emotionally ready for the challenges that were going to come with this spell.

"But what if it doesn't work? What if~." You kissed her cheek to make her go quiet.

"No more what ifs, just positive thinking okay? Can you do that for me? I need your support Harls." She nodded quickly and pulled back.

You could now see the tears on her face and it wrecked you to see her crying, you wipe her tears away and smiled at her, you say a few encouraging words before she smiled as well, you were going to fix this because this wasn't just about getting your life back -literally- it was about keeping your promise to the girl you fell madly in love with. You had to do this for her.
