Chapter Thirty.

Everything was black, it felt like you were standing in tar you tried to move but your movements were slow, sluggish, you found the more you struggled the harder it got to walk so you took small steps in the goo it helped a little but you didn't really know where you were going and it was quiet real quiet you could even hear your own breath. Where were you? Your eyesight is blinded by a sudden bright light you shield your eyes with your forearm, you could now hear voices familiar voices you walk into the light even though everything in your body tells you not to.

You stand next to a bassinet a gurgling noise comes from inside, you peek over the side and saw a baby in a yellow onsie it had thick (h/c) hair and bright doe like (e/c) eyes its cheeks was rosy red and it was smiling.

"Hey (Y/N), hi baby." Your mother cooed at the baby.

Was that you? You take another look at the little girl in the bassinet, the baby giggles and drool slips down her chin.

"Mummy will be back in a minute, she's just gotta get your bottle." Your mum wiggles her index finger in front of little you.

She walks out of the room and that's when red fog seeps in through the window, it's flows to your cot and pools around your tiny body baby you starts to cry as the fog trickles into your mouth and in your nose even pushing past your eyes. The baby glows red as the rest of the fog shrouds it. You watch in horror at the scene before you was this how you got the powers? Your mother walks back in as the glowing ceases, she picks up little you and holds the bottle to her lips your mother kisses her forehead and everything fades to black.

You're back in the black tar, this time you're in knee deep and you can feel yourself sinking another light blinds you and takes you to another memory.

You were standing next to a tree, little you was running around chasing a dog in your backyard she looked around six with her hair in two braids and a bumblebee clip holding back her bangs (or fringe if you didn't have bangs) you looked so happy back then, not a care in the world, you continued watching her run around until she tripped over and landed flat on the ground her chin smacking against a stone causing blood to trickle down her neck, she started crying holding her head in her hands sobbing for her mum. You walk to little you and crouch next to her you reach out and grabbed her jaw your hand glowed and mist covered her skin and healed the cut and forming bruise six year old (Y/N) stopped crying and touched her chin gently. How did you do that? You moved away from her and stared as she got up like nothing had happened in the first place.

Thrown back into the black tar you went through a series of memories that you didn't actually seem to remember, each one shows different stages in your life showing you things about your powers and all you can do is watch. Then like someone pulling you, you are brought back into the real world gasping at the air around you clutching your throat as your lungs burned, you sit up trying to figure out where you were familiar faces are peering at you like you were some sort of experiment you wait for her face to appear but it doesn't and you stop greedily taking breaths. Where was Harley? You get off the table and push past June and Josiah you frantically search for your girlfriend but she just simply isn't there.

"Where's Harley?" Your voice is coarse and you cough as saliva pools in your mouth.

"You need to rest (Y/N), you've just been pulled back to the living." Josiah places a hand on your shoulder but you step away from him.

"Where's Harley?" You ground out.

"(Y/N)..." June looks at you from behind her glasses.

"What?" Your heart practically stops.

"After you passed out, Harley was taken away... Joker took her... We tried to stop him but he just..." Your ears started ringing and you could hear your heart thudding in your chest.

You sit down in shock, this wasn't meant to happen this wasn't how it was suppose to be.
