"Are you sure we haven't walked past here before? I swear that's the same group of trees from five minutes ago," Dylan asked Tyler as they looked for the images that Tyler had seen after touching Hanna's scar this morning.
"I'm positiv-"
"We are. I pissed on that tree the last time we were here. We've been walking in circles," Ian said pointing to a tree that everyone soon started smelling the urine.
"Awesome, we're lost." Dylan grunted sitting on the ground in defeat. Everyone sighed joining him on the ground or on some kind of natural seating.
Tyler closed his eyes leaning against a tree trying to figure out where he took a wrong turn. He thought about the rock that he saw and Hanna described earlier, the clearing, they hadn't seen anywhere that concealed a clearing with a rock that large. He sighed once again as a gust of wind blew through the trees pushing smells and cold air around them. Tyler's eyes shot open at a smell he knew very well.
"Hoechlin, you okay?" Asked JR seeing that his body and behavior had changed. Without a word Tyler took off in a sprint. Everyone stood confused chasing after him questioning what brought this on.
When they caught up to Tyler, he was standing at the edge of a large clearing with a rock pile across the clearing staring at them. The hair on the back of their necks stood, they knew something was wrong with this area. A crack of a branch being broken from the other side of the clearing made everyone go into the defencive.
"We're in another pack's territory." Posey whispered, his eyes flashing red. They all watched a wolf walked up onto the rock, it's eyes the red of an alpha, it was possibly three times the size of Tyler's wolf. Soon around twenty wolves walked out from the forest surrounding the rock, their eyes all golds and blues.
"We might have a problem," Charlie said looking at house outnumbered they were if a fight broke out.
"I mean, we have a change, like most of us fought the alphas, the chimera, nogitsune, the berserkers, the Doctors. We'll be fine," Dylan said waving his hand like it was nothing.
"You weren't exactly in the hand to hand combat Dyl." Everyone looked at him with a slight glare.
"But you guys wouldn't be here without me," He pointed out. Everyone sighed shaking their heads.
They looked back to the pack standing in front of them, the alpha on the rock was now in a human form. "You're trespassing." The man said.
"We're sorry, we got lost. We will be taking our leave." Posey said pushing his pack back. One of the wolves started howling causing the pack to freeze. The alpha jumped from the rock and was next to the pack within seconds. He looked at Hoechlin sniffing him. Tyler's eyes flashed blue, causing the alpha to scuff. Posey's eyes turned to a blazing red standing in front of his pack member.
"We're leaving, if you'll excuse us." Posey growled pushing his pack back once again.
"You smell of the girl we once stole." The alpha said looking at Tyler. "Along with you, human." He looked at Dylan who froze.
"What happened to her?" Ian asked pushing to the front of the pack.
"She was from a family of hunters to took many pack members from us. So we took their youngest from them and turned her into one of us. We don't know what happened after though." The alpha said walking closer to Dylan. "You boy, I remember you."
"Never met you in my life, sorry." He muttered hiding behind JR.
"Yes, we never have met, but you were always with the girl. Her cousin. You're the one who found her, yes?" Dylan shook his head looking away from the alpha. He couldn't look at the beating red eyes any longer. "So you omega, why do you smell of the girl?" The alpha turned back to Tyler giving him another sniff.
"You're from a long and strong blood line. What brings you into this? How do you know the girl?" The alpha pressed. Tyler's eyes flashed blue once again a snarl escaping his lips. "Defencive, mate possibly?" Posey pushed Tyler back once again trying to make him calm down. Max and Charlie grabbed onto him holding him back before he got too worked up.
"Where is this girl? I would like to have her back." The alpha said looking at Posey. "You are the alpha of this pack right? I would like my pack member."
"She isn't a wolf." Dylan said stepping forward. "She's never once turned, nothing changed about her. She's human, your bite didn't work on her." That was half true. Hopefully the alpha doesn't think Dylan's lying, because he technically isn't.
"Hm... Then what is she?" The alpha asked looking to JR. "You are a skilled hunter right? A long family line of them, so tell me what is she?"
"She's human. Nothing supernatural about her but the scar you left on her." JR looked around at the pack that had moved closer to all of them. "If she was supernatural, wouldn't her bite have healed?"
"I suppose you are right. Though if I find out none of this is true, you will have a war on your hands, and if this is your pack, you are greatly outnumbered." The alpha turned more wolves came from the trees bringing the total up to around 50 possibly more. The alpha walked away and his pack disappeared back into the forest.
"We're screwed." Dylan said under his break making everyone nod their heads.
