Chapter 8 - Vas Happenin?
The boys laughed as Louis stood there in accomplishment. Harry continued holding me, he wasn't laughing, but trying to hold back his smile. It was a pretty good joke too, so instead of getting mad or fighting back, I just smiled and simply said…
"Maybe."
Harry looked at me shocked and I smirked off into the distance, like what I said didn't even matter. I squirmed out of his arms effortlessly and swam over to the hot tub. I sat inside, leaning against the edge, resting my elbows. The boys looked at Harry, winking and laughing. Harry turned bright red. Mission accomplished.
"I'm hungry… where can we get food here?" I asked.
Zayn looked at me and smiled, "VAS HAPPENIN' I am too! Wanna get some food with me?" he asked.
I hadn't spoken to Zayn much, so this would've been a good opportunity to get to know him better. I nodded, and we got out of the pool together. Zayn got a fresh towel and wrapped it around my shivering body. He immediately stepped back and looked towards Harry.
"She just needed a towel, Harry. I'll keep my distance, don't worry!" he said, teasing him. Harry shook his head and faked a chuckle.
"You're an ass!" he said, sarcastically with a wide smile.
Zayn hooked his elbow into mine and escorted me back into the hotel, towels wrapped around us. The cold air conditioning in the hotel chilling my skin, giving me goosebumps. I trembled, and Zayn put his arm around my shoulder, pulling me in and rubbing my body with my towel to warm me up. What was with these boys? Attractive and polite? Too perfect. We need more people like them in this world.
"What are you in the mood for?" he asked.
"Umm.. How about sea food?" I asked. He nodded, and latched his arm on mine, guiding me down the hall, past the gift shop. We turned a corner and there was a small variety of restaurants. The hell?! What did this damn hotel NOT have!?
"This isn't part of the hotel, it's just like… connected to it." Zayn said in his soft, lazy-sounding accent.
"Doesn't that make it part of the hotel?"
"… Don't be a smart ass, I'm about to buy you food." he said, jokingly. He walked me over to a Red Lobster and got us a table, it wasn't too crowded, for it was a school night and it was unusually early for dinner, at least for me.
We sat across from each other, in a booth in the far corner of the restaurant. I shivered and realized we were still in our bathing suits and towels.
"Aren't we bit under-dressed for such a nice place?" I asked, looking down at myself, doubtfully. Zayn raised an eyebrow and looked around the place, then back at me.
"No one's here, who cares?… Plus, you're in a bikini. If anything, guys will be more attracted to come in here with you looking like that." he said, with a wink.
"Girls would have to see it to!" I argued.
"Hah... You beautiful girls can never take a compliment." he said, shaking his head and looking at the menu.
Everything here was reasonably expensive, and I had never even been here before. I had no idea these boys would be spoiling me all day. I felt lucky, but I also felt like I was burdening him.
"I don't want to get anything too expensi-"
"Don't… Addy, you deserve this... especially after-"
"Harry told you!? My god, he has been mentioning that all morning! It happened years ago, I'm trying to move past it. He's brining back all these old memories and… feelings and it's driving me crazy! I know he feels guilty but he needs to do as I did and just let it go." I explained frustrated, tears almost forming.
