We somehow manage to walk into the weapons room without being spotted but me and Alec don't mutter a word to each other even when we know that our surroundings are clear. I start rummaging through some drawers since I have no clue where any of their stuff is but Alec stops me by grabbing the hand that was currently opening another drawer.
"You're just making a mess" Alec looks me in the eyes. "Here, this should do" He hands me a bow and a quiver that I gladly expect since I have no idea where mines is. Especially since I'm pretty sure I left it glamoured.
"You can stock up on arrows here" Alec gestures towards a whole cupboard filled with arrows. He too was taking some out and runing each one before putting it in his quiver.
"Hey you two what are you doing here?" A man walks up to us eyeing us suspiciously.
"Hey Hodge" Alec greets "We were just ummm.." He stutters making me roll my eyes.
Very smooth Alec, very smooth.
"You know what don't tell me, I wouldn't want to report you" Hodge shakes his head before leaving.
What a cool guy.
"You done?" Alec asks me and I just nod my head in response.
"There's a tunnel we can take that leads right to the Hotel Dumort" Izzy tells us as we meet her at the back of the institute.
"Thanks Izzy" I thank her for finding this out for us while Alec just nods at her.
"You know Alec it was hard work interrogating Meliorn to get this intel" Izzy complains as we follow him to the back exit of the institute.
"Great Job Izzy!" Alec turns around and sarcastically congratulates her. "You're got fairy dust on your dress" He then eyes her up turning back around making Izzy and me roll our eyes.
"Why do you have to be such a dick" I mutter loud enough for him to hear but also quiet enough for him to overhear.
"I'm really not" He turns to face me "A dick I mean"
"Sky really it's okay I'm used to it" Izzy assures me but I'm having none of it.
"Look if you don't want to be here then don't be, we can rescue Simon just find without you" I stare at him.
"My job is to protect mundanes" Alec crosses his arms over his chest.
"Well you can do the protecting without being such a pain in the ass. And to think that you were nice" I scoff shuddering at the thought.
I can hear Izzy chuckle as I walk past him now that we're in the tunnel.
"I agree with Sky. You're too serious for your own good brother" Izzy pats his shoulder before following me. Alec soon catches up with us.
"You know I can be fun" Alec goes on.
"And we're back here again" I roll my eyes.
"No but I'm being serious. I can be fun to be around once I'm not surrounded by all this stress" He gestures around himself referring to the mission obviously offended by my previous statement.
"Well I look forward to seeing that Alec cause this one is gonna take a while getting used to" I sigh as we walk through a door that leads to the basement of the Hotel Dumort.
The other door to the room was wide open and we can already hear vampires coming our way sensing our angle blood so we quickly shut the door and Izzy cuts of a bit of pipe to hold the door down for a while.
