Simon has been buried for a good half an hour now and we're all getting anxious, anyone could tell what was going through our mind.
"Stop worrying so much, he'll emerge" Rafael tries to reassure us, failing to convince himself in the first place, judging by his continuous nail biting.
"How do you know that" Clary exclaims, obviously worried about her friend.
"It'll be fine" I shout "Everything will be fine" Sighing I stare at the dirt we buried Simon under as if he's gonna come out any second with Alec reassuringly rubbing my back.
It seems like my prayer has been answered since the next thing we know we see an arm making its way out of the ground. We all stare at it in shock as he emerges, fangs out and everything.
"Here" Rafael throws him a blood bag which Simon downs as quickly as I can blink. The way he tears at the bag looks inhuman, it remind me of exactly why I hate vampires... they're savages and Simon has just confirmed it.
I shudder in disgust as I stared at his black eyes that seemed to reflect his soul.
He drops the bloodbag and looks around us in horror. "Is that blood?" He asks, directing his question at Clary, his eyes now returning to their original colour.
She nods "Omg" He freaks out "Am I?" She nods again.
"I'm a monster" He stands up. "You did this to me" He shoves Rafael.
"Simon its's okay, you're still our Simon. Nothing has changed" I try to reassure myself more than him because I don't know how I would take it if he started slaughtering innocent people, it would go against all of my morals and I don't think if I would be able to protect him... or if I wanted to in the first place.
"Everything has changed" He snaps "I'm a vampire" He stares at nowhere in particular.
"Simon.." Clary breaks the tense atmosphere, attempting to touch him but he shakes her away.
"You guys should stay away from me" He says before speeding away leaving me and Clary in tears. I hope he's gonna be okay, I wouldn't want to be the one who will have to burry him 6 feet under again just because he didn't follow the calves rules. No vampire are supposed to kill mundanes or turn them without their permission which is exactly what Camille did. She will pay for this.
"I'll take care of him" Rafael promises.
"This is my fault, if I would of just let go" Clary sobs into my shoulder.
"I would make the same decision in a heartbeat, we might be selfish Clary but we can't lose him. We have to fight for him" I reassure her because to be honestly I would make the same decision if that were Jack or Alec for that matter. I might not like vampires but if it meant keeping them alive and keeping Simon alive I will take it. I love Simon and hate to see him suffer but it's better than a life without him, he'll be grateful once he realises what we just did for him.
"Well it looks like that Simon will take some time getting used to his new lifestyle, in the meantime we should work on a plan" Alec suggests.
"Alec seriously, Clary might want to take a few moments to herself before..." I start but she cuts me off.
"No he's right, I kinda need a distraction anyway" She nods letting me know that it's alright.
"You're agreeing with me" Alec's shocked expression doesn't go unnoticed.
Clary rolls her eyes "Don't get used to it"
