"Hey Skylar did your mum mum tell you why she doesn't want the three of us sharing a room?" Izzy questions as I pack a suitcase for one of our longer missions.
"I'm afraid not." I sigh "I don't understand. She's putting a room between you and me and Alec is being placed into a completely different corridor"
"I think I have a pretty good idea of why that is" Izzy smirks gaining my full attention. I stop what I'm doing and turn to face her.
"You do?"
"Yes."
"Well..." I edge for her to continue.
"Well your mum doesn't want us distracted on the mission so she's making sure we don't stay up all night talking and that you and Alec.." She pauses unsure of how to proceed "... you and Alec.. you know"
I frown "No I don't know"
"Oh come on Skylar everyone knows that you two have something that is not strictly friendship" She rolls her eyes and I lightly blush pushing the smile that's making its way onto my face back to where is initially came from.
"I don't know what you're talking about" I turn to fold more clothes into my suitcase.
"Skylar do you think me or your mum don't see it. It's not just friendship that you have going on and being away from the institute while sharing a room could lead to certain.. distractions" She explains.
"Oh"
"Do you think Alec knows?" I ask.
"No I think that he's as clueless as you were" Izzy chuckles before taking one of my tops into her hands.
"This is cute. A little revealing and leather. Just my style" She starts to walk away with it in hand.
"Hey you can't have that" I stop her.
"Why? Do you want to be the first one Alec sees with it on?" She teases and I roll me eyes.
"On a second thought, you take it" I shake my hand.
I slowly open my eyes stretching beneath the duvet that covers me, pondering over the dream that I just had. It doesn't make any sense, everything points to these being dreams yet it feels as if I was in a completely different world. I have to tell Magnus. Hopefully he'll be able to help.
With that thought in mind I sit up to get ready for the day but quickly pull the covers over me once I feel a light breeze hitting my body. With my eyes wide as sources I peak underneath the cover and to my distaste see my pale and exposed skin.
I sigh rolling my eyes at my sudden behaviour but my whole body stiffens once I hear a light snore coming from beside me. I slowly turn my head to the right to get a look at the intruder and mentally face palm myself when I notice a sleeping, and shirtless, head of blonde hair with his back facing me.
Jace.
I flop back into the bed and let out a frustrated sigh as I run my hands over my face. Flashes of last night flood my mind and I have to admit as terrible it feels now it felt pretty damn good at the time.
"Hey" Jace greets lifting his head up a little to look down at me. I didn't even notice he turned around lost in the thoughts of last night.
I glance at his smirking face and instantly regret not leaving when he was still asleep.
"Hey you" I put on a fake smile.
"Okay..." He drags out probably noticing my discomfort "So you probably didn't enjoy that as much as I was hoping you would" He sits up slightly pulling the covers off of my body that I have to hold firmly to not show anything below my shoulders.
