Chapter thirty seven: You say what?!?

"Harry, don't forget your mom, and my parents are coming over. And Laila is coming. You know how mom is with Laila." I said. "Remember when you used to ask me to have people over? Good times." Harry replied. "Remember when you asked me to move in with you, after you got me knocked up? Good times." I snapped.

"Kaylin, baby, grandma is coming over today." I said. "I don't like grandma." She replied. "Now, don't say that." Harry said. "I don't like her. She pinches my cheeks." She said. I laughed, and shut my mouth after getting a look from Harry.

"Honey, you should love grandma. Grandma is really nice." I smiled. "She's weird." She replied. "Oh, Bella, don't forget we have to break the news to them." Harry said. Shit.

I took the ham out of the oven, and smiled. Everything looks perfect. The ham smells perfect. The table is perfectly set. Everything is perfect.

"Hello!" A voice yelled. "Anne, hi!" I smiled, walking into the front room. "Bella, it's great to see you again." She smiled, hugging me. "You know, I was surprised when you called me to tell me to come for dinner with your family." She smiled. I smiled back, and walked to the kitchen.

"Bella, your mum and sister are here!" Harry yelled. "Here comes the fun." I smiled at Anne. She laughed, and sipped her wine.

"Mum, Nina, hi." I smiled, hugging them. "Isabella, I missed you." My mum smiled, hugging me. "You look a little bloated, are you okay?" She asked. "Just fine mum." I replied, walking away.

I finally got to sit down, and rest, when the doorbell went off again. I groaned and got up. "No, sit back down. I got it." Harry said. "Thank you." I smiled.

My dad and Laila walked in, but my dad stopped short. "Alexandra." He stated. "Christopher." My mom replied. "Laila." She said, then she saw the baby, and scoffed.

"Alright! Let's get this dinner finished with." I laughed dryly. I got up, and walked into the kitchen. "Harry, can you carry this over for me?" I asked. He nodded, and carried the ham over to the table.

"So, how is everyone?" I asked. "Good dear." Anne replied with a smile. I smiled back, and sipped my water. "Isabella, there's wine in that glass, why don't you have some? Maybe it will help you not look so bloated, and.... Over weight." My mom said. "Mom, I never told you, but I'm actually sober right now. Been sober for a while." I replied. She nodded, and looked down at her plate.

"So, Bella and I have some news." Harry spoke up. "Now?" I asked. "Yes now. This is a family, and the family deserves to know." He replied.

"You two are engaged?" Anne asked. "No." I replied. "You're taking the next step and moving in with each other?" My mom asked. "No, I already live here." I replied with an eye roll.

"Mum, Robin, Gemma, Mr. Foster, Mrs. Foster, Nina, Bella is... Um, pregnant. For real this time." Harry said. My mom dropped her fork, and my dad spit out his drink.

"You say what?!" My mom yelled. "She's um... Five months pregnant." Harry said. "You... Got my daughter.... Pregnant? At nineteen?!" My mom yelled. Laila just smiled, and held my hand.

"No, no. That's not going to work. You will get rid of that baby, you hear me!" My mom yelled, pointing at me. "Alexandra." My dad spoke up. "No daughter of mine will be pregnant at nineteen! No!" She yelled.

"Mom, calm down." Nina said. "I will not! How can you all just sit here and act normal?! Your son is twenty five years old, and got my nineteen year old daughter pregnant! Again!" My mom screamed. "As long as my son is happy, which he is, that's all that matters." Anne replied.

"You will get rid of that baby, Isabella! I don't care what it takes!" My mom yelled. "How could you, no, how dare you!" She yelled. "He's twenty five!" She yelled.

"Excuse me." I whispered, getting up. "Bella, please come back honey." Laila said. "I'm going to the restroom." I replied.

I leaned against the sink, and closed my eyes. I knew this was a bad idea. I knew it was.

"Bella." Harry sighed, knocking on the door. "Yeah?" I asked. "Come out of the bathroom please?" He asked. "I...m almost done." I replied. "Please Bella. You're mum is calm now. She's in the back yard with your dad." He said.

I opened the door, and walked out. "Everyone else is happy and calm. Your dad is trying to calm your mum down." He said. I nodded and walked to the back door. "Where are you going?" He asked.

"Mom." I said. "Bella, go back inside." My dad said. "Dad, go ahead back, I got it." I replied. He sighed, and nodded.

"How could you, Isabella?" My mom asked. "Mom, if I was younger, I wouldn't have done anything, but mom, this is different." I said. "How? How do you know he won't leave, and never talk to you again?" She asked. "I don't know if that will happen, but mom, I am so happy. When was the last time you saw me this happy?" I asked. She sighed. "Mom, I love him, I really do. He's amazing, and treats me amazing. And I'm not just the nanny, I'm his girlfriend mom. I love his family, I love his daughter, and mom, if you can't accept that, then, you shouldn't be in my life." I said.

"You love him?" She asked. "As much as my heart can love a man." I replied. "Your grandma used to say that." She smiled. "Mom, when dad left when I was younger, you changed, you became mean, and you became... Someone you're not. But now, your old self is coming through." I said. She smiled, and hugged me.
