The plan was to tie a rope to the book and slowly lift it down with the rope. We would have to get down from the tree and get to the hole in the roof. Then we would have take the book down without one of the Kaechis noticing us. It wasn't easy but it was our best idea.
Filippa took a rope out of her bag and carefully tied it around the book in a way we hoped wouldn't let the book slip out and fall. I didn't know where Filippa got the rope from. Maybe she packed it when I wasn't looking.
After tying the rope, we took our things and climbed down the tree the same way we came up. The Kaechis didn't notice us so we continued going really slow. It took several minutes that felt like ages to get to the opening. I was constantly afraid the Kaechis might spot us. Fortunately for us, they didn't.
Filippa took the book and the rope and started to lower it down. We were both holding the rope in case one of us would drop it. The book was slowly reaching the stone where we wanted to place it and when I thought we had succeeded, the book made a sound. Filippa accidentally lowered the book a little too fast and it slammed onto the stone.
We quickly hid on the opposite side of the temple. The Kaechis didn't spot us but they looked around and checked the area. After that, the Kaechis were more careful than before and we would have a lot more problems with getting out than we thought.

Filippa was holding the rope for almost an hour and it was my turn. I took it from her and sat down in our special spot. Our arms were red and we almost couldn't feel them. We had been holding the rope for several hours. Plus there was the lack of sleep. We were super tired and it took everything to not fall asleep. I was sure it wouldn't last long though. There was just about an hour left until we could pull up the book.

The hour went by pretty quickly comparing to the other ones. We talked in hushed voices so the Kaechis wouldn't hear us and we watched the nature around us. Birds were chirping happily as if they didn't know about anything that was happening and the forest around us was full of life.I looked around again, knowing we would soon leave this place and wondered how they managed to build the temple. It was sticking out high above the treetops and we could see it from far away when we drove there.
Filippa pulled me out of my thoughts when she tapped my shoulder and showed me the sun. It was really beutiful. Almost as beutiful as the sunset. The rising sun illuminated the temple again, but from a different angle. And it was more yellow than the sunset.
Filippa tapped me again and whispered:
"It's time. We have to pull the book up."I nodded and we began pulling. We did it slowly this time too so the Kaechis wouldn't hear us. It went pretty good and it was almost up.
Unfortunately, we were both tired and we let go of the rope when we thought the book was up. Only it wasn't. It fell in and we saw it hit the middle of the stone and open on a random page. I managed to grab at the end of the rope before it fell too. The Kaechis were now looking at the book. One of them tried to run into the temple but was stopped by an invisible force. They probably couldn't enter the temple.
Meanwhile, we pulled up the book (this time faster), took our things and ran down the temple to our car. The Kaechis heard us of course but they couldn't lokate the source of the sound at first. That gave us a little headstart.
We were both running towards the car. I quickly opened the door when we got there and Filippa did the same. I waited for her to sit down and close the door so I could drive away when something went flying towards us.
"Get down!" I screamed to Filippa.
She quickly did as I said and the thing flew past her and bounced of the car window, on the opposite side of the car. Filippa then closed the door so no more objects could fly in and I hit the gas pedal.
Filippa picked up the object and examined it. It was a knife. A really sharp one too. It could have killed us.
"I didn't know they had weapons. It looked like they didn't have any" Filippa said after a while.
"That one in the shop, the first one we met. He had knives too. Don't you remember?" I asked her
" I do remember. I just didn't see them having knives." She answered me " Maybe they have guns too. That might be a huge advantage for them."
"We have this car." I told her. "The windows are bullet proof."
"I noticed. I didn't know we had them until that nife bounced of." She said "Did you know about it?"
"No, I found out about the same time as you." I said.
We didn't know what to talk about so we were quiet.
I was really tired. The adrenaline kick we got from the escape helped a bit but it was beginning to wear off. We would have to stop soon.
A/N That was it for this chapter. It is my longest one so far. I hope you liked. Also, sorry for the typos. I will correct them soon. I don't even know how I make so many. I spell much better than this. Anyway, thank you for reading my book. How do you like it so far? Please comment. Bye!
