We packed all morning. It was still raining so we couldn't go out. We explored the hoiee again and took some useful things. I also found some board games which we were playing after we finished packing.

We had bathed, eaten breakfast and taken some clothes from the person that lived here once. We were now clean and happy. As much as you can in this situation.

It had stopped thundering and now it was only raining. Soon, it will stop raining too and we will continue our journey again.

We still had some things to discuss. I called on Filippa and we both sat down on the couch.

"We should write down everything we know and our questions. Then, we will try to answer them." I said

She took out a nyebook and a pen she found in the house and stated writing.

"We do know nothing about them, except that they are capable pf killing and they demolished the whole town and kidnapped or killed everyone in town." She said " Finished!"

"Can you just try?" I asked her

"I am, we know nothing so there is nothing to say. One thing we have a large amount of is questions, and those aren't going to solve anything unless we have the answers." She replied.

"Well, I do know something. The man that attacked us had weird eyes. It looked like a river of darkness swirling inside them."

"Ok. So we know how to recognise them, and that's it. Great." she said "Now, can we just enjoy the time we have while it is raining? I don't want to think about this. We will get some answers from your grandma. I think so at least."

"Fine"

We played some chess. She won two games and I won one. Then we also played some other board games until it stopped raining. I actually had some fun.

We left the house as soon as it stopped raining. We rook our equpment and stepped out of the house. We were leaving the only comfortable and maybe even safe place.

I watched the water drop from the trees. The woods were always beutiful full of smell after rain. Everything was wet but that didn't bother me very much.

I looked around while we went. I wanted to distract myself from the questions I had inside my head and the nature around us could help me with that.

It didn't last for a long time. I syarted to think about it again. I had so many unanswered questions and thoughts. What really happened to my parents? Who are the attackers? Where did they come from? Why are they trying to destroy the world? At least I think they do. Why did nothing happen to Filippa or me? That was the question that disturbed me the most. The attackers had so much time to kill us while we were in school or on the way to school. They didn't and I can't stop thinking why.

I wanted answers and to get them, we had to get to my grandmother. We were on our way and I knew that was the only place I could get answers but I still couldn't stop myself from thinking about the questions and worrying.

There was also a possibility that the attackers got there before us and we will find her dead. I hope not.

The silence was unbearable for me. It made me think more about everything I didn't want to think about. That's why I started a conversation with Filippa. We talked about different things: what we did in school when we stopped being friends, how we changed, what we like to do and other things like that.

Eventually, we arrived at my grandmothers house. It was a white house on the edge of a village. Her hoise was several hundred metres away from the village so it didn't look like it was a part of it, but it was.

I recognized the house because I had been there several times with my parents.

We walked forward slowly. This was our destination. What if she wasn't here? We had nowhere to go and we didn't know anything about the attackers. We didn't know how to stop them. My grandmother was our only chance.

We walked slower and slower, afraid that we traveled here for nothing, afraid that there was no hope. That they came here before us.

We stopped before the door and I slowly lifyed my fist and knocked. This was it. The moment of thruth.

A/N: Finally a cliffhanger? Maybe.
