Chapter 7:
You Asked For It
I pull the key from my pocket, unlocking the drawer.
"What're you doing?" Darby asks behind me.
"Just wait a second." I murmur, grabbing the stacks of files.
"Darcy, this isn't a good idea." She murmurs.
"You asked for it." I say again.
"Darcy never mind we shouldn't be in here!"
"Really Darby?" I scoff.
"Yes! Close the drawer!" I pull the paper airplane necklace from hiding behind my shirt, pulling out the picture of my real father wearing it and holding me.
"Look at this Darby!" I say, showing her. She creases her brow.
"So?"
"This necklace was my fathers."
"I've never seen Dad wear that."
"No, Darby. My Dad." I murmur, pointing to my dad in the picture.
"Darcy this is crazy." She rolls her eyes.
"Go ahead and look at it all then." I murmur.

"So our-my parents are kidnappers?" She looks at me.
"Yes Darby. They changed your names because they didn't want to get caught. They kidnapped me for money...and well, here we are." A few tears slide down Darby's cheeks.
"What do we do?"
"I'm running away Darby."
"Darcy that's-"
"I'm doing it, and you can't stop me. In two days I'm going on a train, far away. I'm going to go find my parents."
"Please Darcy, take me with you?"
"Darby you have to stay here. This is something I have to do on my own."
"Please don't leave me Darcy."
"I've already bought the ticket. And they'll come find us if we both leave, I can't involve you in this."
"Please..." She whimpers. "I can't stay here. What if they find out I know?"
"They won't hurt you. I promise." She seems doubtful.
"I can't believe this..." She murmurs.
"Really? You can't?" I ask sarcastically.
"I'm going to miss you when you leave." She sighs.
"Me too Darby. There will be no annoying sister at my side making snide remarks about what I'm doing wrong." I tease.
"Shut up." She rolls her eyes. We put everything back, and as we leave, I stop for one second.
"Hey Darby?"
"Yeah?"
"Promise you'll keep my secret?" I ask.
"Promise."

The Next Day
Everything was set, I'd be leaving in the next two days. All the stuff I needed was packed, food, money, water, and clothes. Darby kept quiet, and I couldn't be more thankful. I'd miss her a lot, but I had to do what I had to do. This was me. I was no longer Darcy Gold. I am Darcy Styles.
AUTHORS NOTE: Leave a vote if you enjoyed! The next chapter will be a flashback chapter in Harry's POV. So that should be fun to write. I'm not sure where exactly One Direction live but I'm trying my best ok? Google is harder than it looks :P. Okie, bye!
P.S
I do NOT edit so I apologize for any grammatical errors.
