Dipper's POV

I woke up with Bill asleep next to me. I rolled my eyes, and removed his arm from around my back.

Getting off the couch I made my way over to the window. The sun was still high in the sky and shining over the forest.

I desperately longed to run through those woods again. I wanted to see Mabel even if it were only for one more day.

Bill's POV

I watched Pinetree, as he got off the couch, and made his way to the window. I scanned his mind to see if it was his latest attempt at escape, but what I found was a broken boy.

He wanted to go home. Now he was my pet, and I wasn't letting him go free anytime soon, but I suppose I could let him visit his family once more.

I was turning nice. I was letting these human feelings corrupt me. I should have known as such when I took this form.

"Dipper?" I asked breaking the silence.

He turned around quickly, fear in his eyes.

"I'll let you go home, but only for a few ours, and it's just to say your goodbyes."

His face brightened immediately. I almost smiled. Almost.

"But mark my words, Dipper. If you do not return home by 8 tonight you won't be seeing your family ever again."

He nodded quickly and scampered to the door. I sat up in the couch. He was shifting his weight from hoof to hoof eagerly awaiting me to open the door.

I walked over to him, and opened the door without a second glance. He ran out and into the forest quicker than a whip.

That was a rash decision. Bill, you know he won't come back, and still you let him go. Why am I thinking in third person?

Shaking my head, I rubbed the bridge of my nose and shut the door.

He better be home by 8 o'clock sharp.

Dipper's POV

I pranced through the woods happily. I was going home. Of course it was only for a short few hours, but it was better than nothing.

Bill had had a change in his heart. I could see it in his eyes. But I couldn't count on him to take my side on every situation. I can't let my guard down. At least not yet.

"Dipper?" I heard a voice from behind me.

"Wendy?" I questioned turning around.

The voice I had heard was in fact Wendy. She ran towards me quickly and wrapped her paws around my upper body.

"I've been looking for you everywhere! Tracking you isn't necessarily easy when you don't leave a trace."

"I'm sorry Wendy. It was Bill who captured me.  He said I have to go back.."

"Nuh uh dude! You are not going back to that weirdo. Come on we have to get back to the shack. Mabel is worried sick."

My ears flattened when she mentioned Mabel. We had been together since we were babies. I don't know how this could have effected her.

Running along the forest floor with Wendy, the shack slowly came into view. I saw Mabel sulking in her pond. She looked like she was crying. I ran up to her and hugged her from behind.

"D-dipper?!"

She turned around, and hugged me tightly. Her arms were wet, but I didn't mind. Pulling her back I saw her eyes were red and puffy, and her cheeks were covered in tears.
