Bill's POV

I was beginning to grow concerned. It had been over an hour and Pine Tree still hadn't solved my riddle. This riddle was even easier than the last, but since I had been writing in codes for a millennia I guess it was an acquired skill.

He was now quietly asleep next to the very tree I had left the note at, a pine tree of course.

Watching him from afar, I gave him a dream. It was rather hard at first considering I've only ever given anyone a nightmare, but I'd do it for my Pine Tree.

Dipper's POV

"Come now Pine Tree. I know you can get it. I just wrote it, you just read it."

"Bill why are you speaking in riddles?" I called out to him.

His figure was barely visible, and the only way I knew it was him was through his voice.

"Pine Tree don't you know riddles are quite fun? But hurry now because the game has just begun."

"Bill you're not helping," I groaned.

"Letters and numbers though each a different thing. Put them together and see what the message will bring."

Bill's figure faded into fog leaving me standing alone. But where was I?

I opened my eyes, and saw I was still lying under the tree. Bill's note lay in my lap, unsolved and unfinished.

What was it be said in the dream? Something about letters and numbers?? Wait a minute.... what if letters are the numbers!

Taking Bill's note I slowly spelt out each word using the place of the letter in the alphabet.

"Finally," I sighed happily.

The note read:

"Your next clue lies somewhere fun we went, but it soon became cold and wet."

"Somewhere fun? But somewhere cold and wet?"

I scratched my chin and thought. Bill and I hadn't gone that many different places. There was the grocery store, the shack, the woods, the lake and-

"Oh! It's the lake!"

Standing up, I pranced off into the forest to the pond. After a good 5-10 minute walk I made it to the lake, but Bill was still nowhere to be seen.

"Oh hey Dipper."

I turned and saw Wendy sitting by the side of the lake. Her clothes were torn, and she had leaves in her hair or well fur.

"Rough night?" I asked.

"Yeah. I'm just glad the full moon is over."

I nodded awkwardly. I don't know if I could deal with changing into a meat crazed animal every month. That's why I was never allowed out at night, especially the days before and after a full moon. Though Wendy was harmless now, she could get very wild on a full moon.
