Dipper's POV

I cracked open my eyes and took in the darkness. I was in a cage. Ugh not again! A single light shown down on me, and I swore I could hear someone's voice in the distance.

Without warning a curtain, which had been blocking all the light, flew up revealing a large crowd of people. They weren't just any people but they were humans.

"Now here we've got a lil Cervitaur! One of my newest prizes for ya folks. Bids will start at tomorrow nights auction, but I thought I'd give ya a taste of what y'all are in for."

Gideon's voice was the one I'd heard. He stood beside me at a podium. It seemed only two feet tall in order to accommodate his lesser height.

The people sitting in the crowd clapped and grinned, before standing to leave the strange building I was in. Each human wore a mask over their face protecting their identities, even Gideon.

"Gideon let me out!" I yelled shaking the bars.

No one remained in the large room except him and me. It would be a lie if I said I wasn't scared. If there was one thing Gideon was known for it was his temper. The temper of a vampire.

Not many had been able to prove he actually was a vampire, but it's really not hard to tell. His strange eye color. The fact he always comes out under cloud cover or at night. And even if he wasn't a vampire he definitely was human.

"Now now Dipper why do ya ever think I'd let ya go? I brought ya here for a reason after all." He chuckled deeply.

He circled the cage. I turned to face him again. Using my left arm I flipped the latch on the cage and held it closed. It was a rather idiotic decision to not put an actual lock on the cage, but hey whose fault was that?

Now just to wait. He circled me again this time the farthest from me. I threw open the cage door and flew out, but I hadn't realized we were on a stage.

I fell right off, and cracked my healing bone. I whimpered, and tried to run on my remaining three legs, but they couldn't get me very far.

All of a sudden the lights that were illuminating my root of escape shut off, leaving me in the darkness. I squeaked in fear and made a few strange deer noises.

Tripping over the tables and chairs, I fell again. I couldn't see anything in the pitch black room. My ears didn't even pinpoint a single sound.

I covered my mouth trying not to let out a cry of pain, but it was too much. As soon as I had, my ears flicked up in alert. Gideon had found me.

The lights suddenly flashed and brightened the frightening darkness. Gideon was nowhere to be seen. Had my mind been playing tricks on me? I've got to be going in-

He sunk his sharp fangs into my shoulder from behind me. I fell in fear, dragging him down with me. I bucked at his legs hoping to get him off, but he was latched on tight.

My eyes wee growing droopy, and my breathing became uneven. And before I became unconscious I heard him say these words, "thanks lil pet". And I realized then how much I'd rather hear Bill say those words. But where was he?

I woke up again surrounded by the thick metal bars of a cage. The gash in my shoulder was but another wound on my frail body.

Gideon hadn't sold me in the auction like he promised his guests. He kept me as his own pet. Anywhere but here is where I'd rather be. Even in the hands of a human. Even in the hands of Bill. But he was nowhere to be seen.

My entire body was sore and I was worried if I didn't get my leg fixed soon it wouldn't heal properly. I could barely move in the tiny cage. The only time I was permitted out was when I had to use the bathroom or when Gideon wanted to feed. Luckily he had fed this morning so I was safe until tomorrow.

I shifted my weight to my back, but it didn't make me any less uncomfortable. My head was aching and my vision wasn't clear.

Slam

It was Gideon. He had walked inside, and slammed the door farthest from me. Please let him stay there! He began walking away, and I sighed in relief. But it was too soon for relief when he turned around, and charged towards me.

I flinched as he tugged me out of the cage by my antlers. He took my wrist and lifted it to his mouth. I recoiled from his grasp and skidded back across the floor.

"Dipper!" He growled angrily, Fangs already showing.

"L-leave me alone!" I yelled backing up further. Anything to get away from him.

He tackled me and pushed me down. I was too weak to fight back as he sunk his ferocious fangs into my flesh.

There has to be some means of escape. If only Bill were here. Wait a minute! The journals! They contained ways to summon Bill. If only I could remember the words!

"Triangle no... wait Triangulum entangle...um it was.. it was.. Triangulum, entangulum. Meteforis dominus ventium. Meteforis venetisarium!"

I felt a surge of energy. Now the final words. I spoke a short backwards message 5 times before Bill appeared in front of me. Gideon jumped back shocked, blood still on his chin.

"Pinetree!" Bill yelled. I couldn't tell if he was excited, angry, or both.

I raised my weak arm, and reached for Bill, but Gideon stepped in front of me. He was guarding me. Guarding his prey.

"B-Bill.. please help me!" I pleaded.

Bill floated towards me throwing Gideon out of the way. He didn't take the blow lightly, and got right back up, attacking Bill.

"Bill watch out!" I yelled, but it was too late.

Gideon had sunk his fangs into Bill's neck. He fell on his knees with a terrified look on his face. I never thought I'd see the Bill Cipher cower in fear, but there is a first time for everything, right?

Within seconds Bill's eyes grew heavy, just as mine had each time, but Gideon wasn't stopping this time. He was going to kill him!

"NO!" I screamed.

Using all my leftover strength I ran forward, even putting pressure on my broken leg. I punched Gideon square in the head, causing him to lose his grip on Bill and fall off the stage.

I ran to Bill who now lie on the floor unconscious. He no longer had a glowing aura surrounding him. He was lifeless.

"Bill?" I called.

"Bill? You can't die! Y-you just can't."

What would Gruncle Stan say if he saw me here cradling my lifeless enemy? My cheeks were wet. Was I crying? Crying over the death of my enemy?

I wiped my eyes, and looked to Gideon who was rising from the floor. He was angry, and his eyes held a deadly lust for my blood.

"You're next Dipper."
