Finals will be the death of me. I haven't had anytime to study and I'm already stressed out about finding a job and apartment. I filled out some applications online before school but that doesn't solve my apartment problem. This should be the least of my worries but I've been thinking about Connor and Josh a lot. I have no idea how I'm going to pick one of them.

Right now, I'm sitting in a room full of people my age waiting to take the last exam of the day. I've already taken one today. I'm pretty sure I passed it but barely. Grace is in here with me but she's on the other side of the room. I sigh and wait for the teacher to come.

*2 hours later*

I'm finally done with my exam. I only have two more tomorrow then I'm done with high school. Thank god. I'm walking down the hallway to go to lunch with Grace. We get halfway there when I see Connor walking our way. Shit. I do not want to talk to him right now. I grab Grace and pull her into the bathroom.

"Woah, why did you pull me in here? If had to pee then all you had to do was tell me."

"No, I don't have to use the bathroom. It's just that Connor is out there."

"So? Connor is your best friend, besides me of course. Why are you avoiding him?"

"You can't tell anyone, okay?"

"Okay. I won't."

I let out of sigh and tell her everything that's been going on. Even the stuff about my mom.

"Omg! Katie, why didn't you tell me this before?!!"

"I don't know. I just don't know what to do."

"Well first of all, Connor loves you. He always has. Josh is probably just trying to make Connor mad or upset."

"I guess you could be right. Do you think he's gone yet?"

"He should be."

"Okay, let's go. I'm starving."

"Okay....wait I have to pee first."

I just laugh and she goes into a stall. I look at myself in the mirror as I wait. My hair is up in a bun, I'm wearing a hoodie and comfortable jeans. I wasn't feeling the best this morning. I felt like I was going to be sick but I didn't throw up. I really hope I'm not getting the stomach virus or anything. It's not the best time for me to get sick.

"Do you have a tampon? I forgot to bring a extra one."

I open my purse and look through it. Luckily, I have one.

"Yeah, here you go," I say as I throw it into the stall.

She comes out a few minutes later, and starts washing her hands.

"I'm glad we are on our period at the same time."

"I actually haven't started mine this month yet."

"That's a little odd considering we've always started at the same time."

"I'm sure I'll be on mine tomorrow. I'm probably just a day late."

She just nods and dries her hands. We walk out of the bathroom and head to lunch. I'm glad Connor doesn't have this lunch period today.

The rest of the day goes by pretty smoothly. I didn't see Josh at all. I saw Connor a few times but I avoided him each time. I'm not ready to talk to him yet.

I walk into my house and to the kitchen. Remembering there's no food in the fridge, I make some toast. After I finish I go up to my room and sit on my bed. I unlock my phone and go to the Netflix app. I find a movie and start watching.
