Chapter 4: Phone Calls

Ness POV

It has been 3 weeks since Jake left. I had no idea that I loved him as much as I did because my whole body and soul ache.

I found the phone that Jacob left a week ago, but I don't dare to touch it or even think about it, knowing Dad and Aunt Alice would know right away.

Over the past 3 weeks, I've only come out of my room when it was absolutely necessary.

I go out to hunt once a week but I missed last week. I haven't had blood in days and I can tell its affecting me.

All of a sudden, I heard the front door open and close and 3 car engines rumble to life and drive off.

"Great now they have left me alone. They don't remember me." I thought.

After a while, I couldn't hear the car so I figured I would take my chance and call Jacob.

I walked over to my small desk and opened my secret drawer and picked up the phone.

I quickly found Jake's name. My hand shaking, I selected his contact and hit the dial button and put the phone to my ear. It took a couple rings for him to answer it, but he did.

"Ness you have no idea how much I miss you" he said his voice raspy

"Jake, I don't have much time. My whole family just left for no reason and I don't know why. But I miss you too." I said, tears rolling down my cheeks.

"I know honey. But your parents aren't letting me come back any time soon." He said, his voice low.

"Wait, you didn't leave on your own?" I asked, more tears falling.

"No I didn't. Bella.." He said, choking on his words.

"My mom did what Jacob?" I pleaded for him to tell me.

"She told me to leave. She doesn't trust me. She says that when she feels comfortable with letting me back near you she'll send Sam and the others to find me and bring me back."

I couldn't bear to hear what my mother did. I sobbed and sobbed and sobbed. I hung up on Jacob, and curled up on my bed. I cried myself into a nightmare ridden sleep.

Hours later, on the highway I heard 3 cars coming close to the house and I knew they were coming back.

I threw my clothing back on and grabbed a knapsack and threw the essentials in the bag. I also wrote a note just in case my parents did come looking for me.

Mom and Dad and Family..

I have to leave. Its clear that you all are ashamed of me so I'm leaving for a while.  -Renesmee

Right when the doors to the 3 cars opened, I was running across the river and into the woods.

I kept running and running. I even heard my mother scream but I kept running.

I soon smelt a deer and its pack and I attacked and drank all of them. I felt replenished but didn't run, knowing they wouldn't find me.

Soon I felt tired, I found a tree and climbed it, hiding myself from anyone below.

*THE NEXT MORNING*

I woke up and I didn't hesistate to keep going. But I was so tired I didn't wanna run. I walked.

After a few miles I saw a man up ahead.

Even from a distance I could tell he was gorgeous.

His hair was chocolate brown and his eyes were a blood red. His face was perfectly chiseled and I couldn't help but feel mesmerized by his god-like body.

He came closer to me, and I finally recognized the face that had betrayed my family, but I still found him absolutely stunning.

The man was Alec Volturi.
