Chapter 6: The Man With The Red Eyes

Hey guys! Sorry I haven't uploaded in a while, but now I am on vacation, so I will give you this update, hope you enjoy!

(there will be a flashback, so don't get confused)

*Nessie's POV*

"Alec?" I called out to the man who had terrorized my family.

"Renesmee?" Alec called back, and then he ran over to me.

"Do you know what just happened?" I asked, scared but also intrigued. I had never felt like this before, not even with Jacob. When I saw Alec, he made my heart flutter. I needed to know if he felt the same.

"I think we... mated.." Alec said staring into my eyes. His eyes were a shining ruby red, that made a fire in my belly ignite.

But then, I was transported. I saw my whole life with Alec ahead of me, it all flashed before my eyes. We had had kids, we had become all-powerful rulers of the Volturi. It looked so appealing. My mouth watered.

Apparently, Alec had seen it too. He gently laid his lips on mine, and right then I knew.

He was my soulmate. And I could never, ever leave him.

"You felt that too, right?" He asked me, pulling away.

"I did." I said, a grin spreading across my face. I took his hand and I said, "Should we go to Volterra?".

Alec looked at me, but then looked into the distance. "Your parents, they are coming."

"Let's go Alec, anywhere but here; I will explain on the way." I said frantic.

"Okay love." He said, throwing me onto his back and taking off.

'I'm finally going to be safe now', I thought to myself, and I knew my father heard it because I heard him scream.

And that was the last thing I had heard, before we were halfway to Volterra.

We had finally reached Volterra. But the only image that was passing through my head was my parents face when Alec had lifted me up and ran away.

*FLASHBACK*

I had persuaded Alec to go to the Denali Clan in Alaska. Thinking ahead of time, I knew my family would turn to my "cousins" for help finding me. So if I had told them what had happened, they would tell my parents that I was gone.

Alec had finally let me down when we had reached the start of their driveway. They must have smelled me, because they had run out of their home by the time we were three-quarters of the way up the driveway.

"Renesmee, darling, where are your parents? And your grandfather?" Carmen asked worriedly. Her and Eleazar were the first ones to meet us outside.

"Alec." Eleazar said sternly, greeting Alec very coldy. Alec nodded his head, as though to avoid confrontation, for my sake.

"You!" I heard Tanya scream, and I saw a blur of blonde hair and then Alec was being tackled onto the snowy ground.

"Stop it!! Stop it now; both of you!" I screamed and Tanya lifted her head.

"Why in the name of God are you with this red eyed leech?!" Tanya got up and screamed in my face.

By then, Kate had come out and had pulled me into a hug and kissed my temple. She was soothing me.

My mother had always had a close bond with Kate, and that must have carried on to me as well.

"Tanya, if you would kindly stop screaming at me and let me explain what's going on, I can tell you why Alec is with me."
