chapter 4- 1st day

My first day at this new school has been so nerve racking, so in order to make sure I get through this day without breaking down I've moved, found a handle full of friends, they are all except for stiles are part of the supernatural, and am dealing with the dread doctors....again.
So its taking a lot for me. I grabbed my boots and quickly put them on I walked over to my phone which had just dinged.
   I unlocked it and clicked on the one new message I had

Stiles: hey we're coming to pick you up in 10 minutes

Me: ok I'll be ready in 5

Stiles: 👍

I locked my phone and stuffed it in my backpack along with my schedule, swords, charger and some lip balm.
Everything else was in my locker already, I walked over to my vanity and did my makeup which was some concealer, mascara,and lipstick.
A simple light makeup routine is the best idea right now.
I grabbed my bag and slung it over my shoulder, I pulled open my door and jogged down the stairs making sure to grabbed my keys on the way, if I dont have those I dont get in the house.
I heard a honk and looked up seeing stiles shitty jeep in the driveway.
"Alright mom I'm leaving bye"
I called walking towards the door "bye sweetie"
She  called I shut the door behind me and walked over to the jeep yanking on the handle, you had to be forceful with his car I had learned this over the weekend.
Once I got the door open I hoppedin the back shutting it behind me
"Hey guys!"
I smiled widely placing my belt on
"someone is in a good mood "
Stiles committed leaving my driveway and down the road
"Yeah, surprisingly I woke up in a Good mood"
I said looking out the window
"Well dont let that go you'll need it at school"
Stiles commented laughing.

We arrived at school and I had already felt with the struggle of getting out of the stupid jeep.
"Yah know, have you ever thought of buying a new car?"
I asked catching up with them, they both looked back at me
"Nah, I can fix it "
Stiles nodded looking back, Scott looked back at me and rolled his whispering
"Duck tape doesn't count "
I laughed shaking my head, as we entered the school I became more nervous walking in now then I did arriving .
My boots clicked across the marble like floors, they seemed louder to me then they actually were I looked around at all the people,who barely noticed me.
It gave me a bit of relief in a way.
I saw Lydia and malia in the distance near my locker, I must have gotten a locker near theirs that or they are just waiting for me maybe?.
   We finally reached the lockers, I quickly went to mine grabbing my English book before locking it back up
"Do we all have lockers near each others?"
I asked leaning against mine
"No, but you and malia do"
Lydia smiled, I nodded
"Ok, at least I have someone I know near me"
I said everything was gonna be so chaotic again I just know it.
"Ah, well here come the rest of the pack "
Scott said as everyone looked towards the door were three boys entered walking our direction
"I thought there were 4?"
I asked looking back at Scott
"There is, must have not been able to come today "he said right then the boys came over
"liam, Corey ,mason this is Mackenzie "
Scott said I smiled and waved
"Hey"
I said awkwardly, they smiled and waved
"Nice to meet you.....uh Scott what you said about the dread doctors thing well um, I think Traci is acting weird I think they took her"
Mason said before looking towards Scott,
Part of me was really trying to make me think it wasn't happening again but it is.
The bell rang and I looked watching all the teenagers rush to class .
"Well I gotta go dont wanna be late to class bye "
I called noticing the silence that had formed as Scott and stiles tried to figure everything out, you could tell.
"Bye"
Lydia called as I walked away sending Her a wave before dissapearing behind the corner and straight in to class soon kira walked in sitting down next to me.
"Hey what took you so long?"
I asked looking towards her
"Eh its complicated "
She said, it was convincing enough for me not to ask anymore. I looked forward seeing a girl hunched over her desk and in a robe like jacket, she seemed off not ok.
"Kira do you see that girl there?"
I whispered towards Kira pointing a little at her. She looked towards the girl and nodded
"Yeah what about her?"
She asked looking back at me
"Doesn't she seem off to you?"
I asked looking back at her
"I mean a little ...i think that's Traci, did Scott tell you?"
She asked looking at me and I nodded focusing back on her
"Yeah, let's just keep an eye on her"
I said seeing the teacher walk in.

45 minutes later...

The bell wrung and I quickly grabbed my stuff and bag standing up, I watched as everyone else shuffled towards the door except for Traci.
"Kira she isn't getting up something isn't right "
I said to Kira,I watched as a girl walked over to her
"Hey class is over are you ok?"
She asked , Traci looked up at her breathing heavy,she reached her hand up and grabbed the girls wrist claws sinking into her wrist.
Oh God,
"Oh my God!"
I called to Kira who had noticed too, we jumped up rushed to them , Kira grabbed Traci's arm and tried to pull it away
"I can't she's to strong Mackenzie ?"
She asked switching positions with me over to the poor girl who had claws dug into her skin .
I grabbed her hand and pulled it away from the girls hand
"Ill get Scott, and I'll take you to the nurse"
Kira called I nodded fighting of Traci as she was now scratching at me, after they and the teacher had left I turned back to her,
And growled loudly teeth baring and eyes glowing attempting to make her coward down.
She jumped out of her chair,I looked up at her seeing a silver liquid dripping out of her nose.
I roared loudly pinning her down on the ground
"Calm down "
I yelled, the door burst open revealing Scott, stiles, and malia .
Scott and malia rushed over to me helping me keep her down .
Her body suddenly went limp and she stopped fighting me
"We need to get her to deaton now "
Scott said,I nodded and helped him pick her up and we rushed out of the room straight towards the door.
"Is she dead?"
I asked as we pushed open the door, I looked towards Scott who glanced at me before Traci
"I'm not sure"
He said In confusion.

We arrived at this pet hospital, so is this were they just take dead people or?
I shook the question away, getting out of the car to help Scott take her inside,
"If you dont mine me asking, why are we at a pet hospital?"
I asked stopping at the door , stiles rushed over and opened it letting us in
"because, this is where deaton works , he has everything here for the supernatural "
Stiles said quickly rushing around like an idiot.
  We walked into a room and sat her down on a metal table, I looked around not seeing anyone. The door to the room opened and in came a man
"Is this her?"
He asked gesturing to Traci who lied face down.
"Yeah...is she dead?"
Scott asked his phone begun buzzing he looked down and immediately answered it
"I got to go Kira needs me "
He said rushing out of the room I watched as he ran out of the building something must be happening.
I turned back to who I assumed was deaton
"Ok, well I'm not sure if she's dead or she seems to be, but supernaturally I'm not sure"
He said checking her pulse  , stiles moved closer looking over her back.
"Just in case I'm gonna lay some mountain ash down "
Deaton said turning to a shelf pulling down a jar before quickly sprinkling it over the entrance.
"Ok I dont known the human body that well but is her spine supposed to do that?"
Stiles asked pointing to her spine, where it moved under the skin, ew.
"No, I dont think so "
He said moving closer examing it before we knew it a tail swung out, me and malia ducked but it hit stiles right in the head and deaton in the arm.
I stood up and looked up seeing tracing kneeling on the table half her face scaled and glowing snake like eyes, fangs and claws out.
I growled lowly my fangs extending along with my claws , my eyes glowing bright blue by now too.
Malia had wolfed out as well, Traci turned to her giving me enough time to kick her off the table her tail swing almost hitting malia, she jumped up again on her knees looking right at me
"Come on"
I growled motioning her to come here, she launched up in the air landing on the table again her tail snapped up and since malia was tending to stiles her tail hit her in the back, they all sat on the floor motionless.
I looked back at her, her hand swung down almost hitting me but I dodged I looked towards the mountain ash covered entrance and mentally cursed.
I looked back and grabbed her by the shoulders and yanked her off the table roaring in her face.
"Calm down!"
I yelled as an attempt to make her stop but nothing she pushed me off her onto the floor and before I could move she whipped around her tail smack me in the side my eyes widen and I screamed out in pain but it came out more as a roar.
I laid there motionless I couldn't move anything
"Ahhh"
I groaned attempting to move , Traci jumped over the mountain as and some how got out.
Malia yelled loudly trying to move, stiles didn't even try.
"Ok everyone calm down "
Deaton said calmly looking toward all of us as he was sat against the wall
"Focus on trying to move your legs not the pain "
He said I nodded and looked down towards my legs as well as malia and stiles
"Whoever gets up first needs to call Scott and follow her "
Deaton called I nodded watching my legs and focusing on moving them
"I can't "
Malia called in a cry , she stopped trying to move and just sat there
"Yes you can"
Stiles said still trying him self.
I looked down my legs slightly moving, so I tried harder and harder until I stood up.
They all looked at me
"Go Mackenzie, call Scott and chase her "
Malia screamed wolfing out, I nodded and ran out of the room, since the mountain as was broke by Traci.
I grabbed my phone out of my pocket dialing Scott
"Hello"
He answered I looked around not seeing any trace of her
"Scott, Traci is loose she has some sort of tail that paralyzes anyone it hits, malia, deaton and stiles are still down trying to get out of it I need your help finding her "
I said jogging off to where her scent was coming from
"Ok, stay at deatons hospital I'll be right there "
He said before hanging up, I nodded to my self and pocketed and looked around making sure she wasn't trying to try and attack me now.

Scott appeared, on a bike with Kira on the back
"Come on "
I yelled running off to the woods were her scent was coming from Scott right behind me,
"She ran back here I know it "
I called looking around before stopping dead in my tracks at a large tree stump
"WHat is it?"
Scott asked stopping ahead of me
"Something's not right we need to get away from this now "
I said backing away hearing rustling around us
"Run"
I called turning around and running back I turned my head seeing Scott close behind me I looked forward and ran till we were back to deaton.
I looked towards the woods seeing if anything would come out .
"Someone else is in there"
I said to Scott who was focused in on the woods as well
"I know I heard there beat, but now I can't hear it, they must have ran the other way "
He said walking over towards his bike, the doors to the hospital and out came Kira, stiles, deaton and malia.
I checked my watch to see it was three
"shit "
I mumbled to myself
"What?"
Scott asked turning to me I looked up seeing everyone was looking at me.
"Well im positive the principal has called my mom, and told her I wasn't in school and I already have 2 missed calls from her"
I said looking back down at my phone, I smiled annoyingly, I know for a fact she's gonna yell at me.
"Its fine, if you want we can take you back we got to go back home anyways too"
Stiles offered I smiled and nodded
"Yeah that would be great"
I said, stiles gestured for me and malia to follow since Scott and Kira were gonna take Scotts bike back.
I walked over to the backseat and hopped in as well as malia and stiles.

We pulled in to my driveway and I quickly grabbed my bag and jacket
"Thanks for the ride, and if you guys see anything call me ok?"i asked getting out and shutting my door
"well I mean your part of the pack now, so you'll always be involved "
Stiles smiled, I nodded and laughed a little
"Alright I'll see yah guys later, bye"
I smiled waving bye. They smiled back before driving down the street, I quickly jogged to the front door and unlocked it walking in
"Mom I'm home "
I called out hearing nothing really I wonder if she was even home, she may be at work still.
I walked up to my room opening my door and tossing my bag and jacket onto the bed, I walked over to my window and peered out, I never expected to see who was standing at the edge of the woods staring up at me , my ex I closed my eyes tightly and opened them again, no one was there.
"Just my imagaination "
I sighed and walked away towards the stairs, quickly jogging down them and into the kitchen.
I trudged into the kitchen seeing a note on the counter clearly from my parents

Hey honey me and your father aren't gonna be home until sometime after 10 something came up I'm so sorry sweetie! If your hungry there's some left over pasta in the fridge
Love you
    Mom and dad

I sighed and sat the note down moving towards the fridge pulling it open finding the pasta quickly in a plastic container.
I pulled it out and put it in a bowl before sliding it into the microwave putting it on for a minute.

I was just about to go start my shower when my phone began to ring
"Hello"
I called picking up the phone seeing it was stiles
"Mackenzie come to the school now ...they're here"
Stiles whispered in panic.
I ran out of bedroom and down the stairs
"Ok , try to get as far away from them as you can "
I said putting on my shoes and leaving the house I couldn't take my car I wouldn't get there in time so I ran sprinting down the street as fast as I can making sure to focus on getting there and nothing else.

I got there within 2 minutes I ran into the school yanking the doors open, I could here the sounds there masks made nearby.
   I turned a corner seeing stiles and Lydia running my direction and soon the rest of the pack followed by the dread doctors themselves .
They sprinted until they were behind me
"Mackenzie c'mon"
Stiles said grabbing my arm I shook my head and growled lowly fangs,teeth, and everything wolfing out.
I roared loudly before charging at them
"No!"
Scotts voice echoed followed by a low growl, I brought my foot up and kicked the middle one across the room into the wall,the other to turned to grab me but pushed them into the lockers , Scott and malia soon had reached were I was and fighting the two that went after them, a crack of thunder erupted what seemed to be right above me I smirked looking back down at the one I had kicked into a wall
"Your in for it now "
I mumbled fast walking towards him grabbing him by the shoulders and pushing him into the wall, I could feel the bolts of lightning pulsing through my veins it was perfect timing.
I let the bolts rush through my heads electrocuting him but not enough to make him stop, he grabbed my arms and pushed me off him causing me to fly across the ground
I growled standing back up, "big mistake"
I called grabbing the other two that were attacking Scott and malia launching them into the other one against the wall
"You guys need to leave "
I said putting my arms out and creating a force field of lightning, but it wouldn't hold them forever.
"Were not leaving you here to die "
Scott argued I shook my head growling as it took a lot for me to control this
"I won't, I can handle them you can't"
I said loudly getting frustrated and angry which only made me stronger, they stood up and walked towards me almost like there was no fear
"Go now!"
I roared my eyes glowing bright blue, I could only hold it to a point, if they didn't leave now who knows what would happen
"Guys come on she's right let's go"
Stiles yelled they looked at me sympathy covered eyes I knew they didn't leave but they need to.
"Go!"
I screamed pushing more engery towards it as the dread doctors aprroached closer.
They took of running away with Lydia and stiles, I looked into the eyes of them seeing them putting there hands against the only thing that was protecting me from they're strange power I never understood.
"You can't protect everyone Mackenzie, you never could "
The one in the middle spoke hitting nerve but not enough to stop me, I wouldn't make the mistake o letting everyone die again I'll try harder and harder.
"We'll be back , you can't hold on forever"
He spoke again before they backed away and walked behind a corner disappearing
Once I was sure they had left my hands dropped and I fell to the ground breathing heavy, I had to get out of here if they came back I'm screwed.
I stood up and trudged away leaning against the lockers for support as I went out the doors of the school, I looked out into the parking lot no one was there, I sighed and begun a long walk home

What seemed like hours had past I finally met my street and instead of walking to my house I stopped at Scotts, If I tried to go home I wouldn't make it I got to his door and fell on the ground and knocked weakly, it didn't take me long to realize they had shocked me or something because I've held a force shield before and its draining but not this bad. The door opened revealing Scott worried sketched over his face
"Mackenzie oh my God"
He called helping me up and bringing me inside, he brought me to a couch and let me fall back onto it I sighed heavily seeing everyone that was at school earlier here now
"What happened?"
Stiles asked walking over to me
"I, I"
I started but couldn't finish before I closed my eyes passing out
