chapter 10- "wait"

I didn't want to go back to school after last night, but I had to we had a mandatory meeting in the theatre today.
For what they didn't say.
I walked into school alone, today I drove myself early, I was still clearing my mind about everything. Theo hasn't reached out to me since last night which is odd.
I sauntered over to my locker where malia sat along with Lydia.
"Hey guys"
I called as I opened my locker between them
"Hey " malia called as I shut my locker and leaned against it
"What?"
I ask noticing there silence all the sudden ,
They didn't say anything, Lydia nudged my shoulder nodding toward the entrance.
In walked stiles and Scott and Theo later behind. It seemed awkward they weren't talking to Theo. I wonder what happened.
"Scott seems worried or like upset what's going on?"
I asked assuming at least Lydia might know
"He's freaking out about Kira."
She whispered I looked over at her remembering what Lydia said was happening with her
"Oh, I dont think that's something I want to get involved in"
I said looking down at my feet as I looked back up catching Theo's stare as he quickly turned away back to stiles.
"Ok then, what's going on with Theo?"
Lydia asked assuming I'd know what was going on, I mean this was my situation. But I dont.
"I dont know"
I called looking back at him as he struggled to not look my way.
"Thats a lie"
Malia pointed out I looked up and sighed closing my eyes for a short second
" I'm telling the truth, last night , the whole hallucination thing felt real and now I'm just..I"
I stopped myself I didn't know if I could say it out loud , I'm doubting Theo and losing my trust. Which wasn't completely there to begin with.
"Your debating if you can trust him"
Malia said, saying the words I couldn't.
I look up at them both as they stared at me, I looked at Theo who looked at me, did he hear that?
Malia looked
"It was just very realistic ok?"
I asked avoiding what malia had only said seconds ago.
I heard the intercom above sound and a voice come through
"If everyone can please make they're way to the theater for the meeting thank you "
Then it went silent , it was very blunt if you ask me.
Me, Lydia, and malia all walked together and Theo , Scott and stiles walked at the other side of the hall
"You dont have to Say it, that's a rough situation "
Lydia commented as we sat in the middle I was at the end next to Lydia, and then the guys walked in, I found my self becoming nervous
"Its okay, just keep your distance for a little while and let the situation dial down "
Lydia whispered over to me , giving me a reassuring smile.
I hope she is right.
Our principal walked out onto the stage as the last three people walked quite quickly in.
"Good morning students, I'm aware this I out of the ordinary for you and quite rare.
But we discovered early this morning , the school had been broken into and the boys lockers is a complete mess "
He paused looking back at everyone I turned to Lydia as we both were wide eyed and basically the rest of our row, that of who were my friends. Our pack.
"Its unbelievable to who could've done this, the boys locker room is closed off for today and most of tomorrow, in order to repair the damage that has been caused, you all may go to your classes now"
He said before shutting of his mic and walking off stage he looked pissed. We all got up and quickly exited being the first out, that probably didn't help us.
I walked with Lydia as the rest took separate paths to different classes Lydias class was canceled today and they couldn't get a sub so she decided to go to English with me.
"He seemed really upset "
I said walking into the room ,sitting down in the back.
"Yeah, but he always is "
She said tapping hr fingers against the desk, the teacher walked in barely noticing Lydia was here and not supposed to be.
"Theo seems upset too"
She whispered turning her head to me, I could see a small smile appearing across her lips. I sighed and sat my head on top of my arm that rested on the desk
"Yeah "
I said part of me felt guilty and like I should talk to him but maybe I should just lay low.
"Doesnt he have this class with you?"
She asked I turned my head other keeping it rested
"Yeah he does, "
I said curious on where he was, maybe he doesn't wanna see me.
"What's wrong?"
She asked tilting her head to the side her smile fading
"Nothing, its just really frustrating and complicated."
I said, usually I hold myself together with stress but when it involves him, it seems harder to keep my cool.
"I get it, but you to talk to him sometime "
She nodded looking at the door ,i turned my eyes over seeing Theo walk in, upset.
I sighed loudly burying my head into my folded arms
"Its to weird"
I said feeling like a child.
"Well life's weird, I'm not saying Now but soon"
She whispered pulling out a book I let a breath of air out sitting up and grabbing my book luckily today was only reading, we had a sub today.

I got up and walked out of class ,lydia left half way through apparently stiles needed help, there's gotta be something going on with them two. The halls were empty as I was now late getting to math. I shut my locker seeing a very familiar face run past me, sword in hand, Kira.
"Kira?"
I called she barely stopped
"Wait "
I called running after her, this could be a really bad idea , I'm not sure if its reallykira or her fox.
I ran out of school and off into the woods nearby, where was she going?
"I can't really run in wedges!"
I yelled gripping on to my sword that I had pulled out but haven't let the blade out yet , all the sudden she stopped and slowly turned to me an orange silhouette surrounded her body ,they looked like flames.
Her eyes glowed a bright orange as she said something in Japanese, something in me clicked and I found myself understanding her, our foxes were talking to each other.
"Never thought I'd see you again mostoko, its been awhile"
She said but it was in Japanese however I was hearing it in English before I knew it my fox was speaking
"It has hasn't, but this is no place for you dear"
It said I tried closing my mouth
"Still holding that grudge?"
She responded
It disappeared the fox went a way as she continued to speak in Japanese , I couldn't hear her anymore clearly.
She started charging me with her sword
"Kira no!"
I yelled flinging the blade out and catching her sword with mine
"Watashi wa anata ga meiyo no ken o tamossanshō shite kudasai"
(I see you kept the sword of honor)
I heard that. Something in me clicked, my eyes changed and my fangs shot out as I roared pushing my sword forward causing her to fly backward
"I earned that "
I spoke for myself, she laughed hunching herself up assuming a position to attack me
"Kira!"
I yelled trying to call her out, make her come back
"No, "
She said flinging her sword at me hitting me in the mouth I held it before taking the advantage of her cockiness and kicking her over
"Kira I dont wanna hurt you, come on"
I said jumping on top of her pinning her arms down her eyes burned orange.
"Scott"
I yelled seeing him jogging over in the distance
"What happened?"
He asked as she squirmed under me
"She attacked me...."
I said, looking around me for something to stop her, I pulled back my hand
And smacked her. Her eyes slowly went back to brown "kira?"
I asked seeing her looking around
"What happened ?"
She asked, I let go of her and stood up
"Why'd you hit her?"
Scott asked helping her up, he looked offended.
"She's back isn't she?"
I asked dusting the leaves of my shoulder, walking away.
"Where are you going?"
He asked I turned away packing my sword back in my purse
"Home "
I said walking away seeing Theo walk over cautiously.
I glanced over at him I couldn't find it in me to look away he took slow steps to me
"Your bleeding "
He whispered running his thumb over my lip, I squinted feeling a light sting "sorry"
He whispered again placing a strand of hair behind my ear , I looked down smiling a little
"Are you ok?"
He asked in a normal tone
"Yeah"
I nodded my voice cracking
"Look , I know your still weary about last night, I dont expect you to wanna talk to me but promise me you'll be careful for now why'll I can't protect you..."
He whispered I looked up, this is what he said before when he started disappearing off and on.
"Wha-what do you mean?"
I asked already feeling the tears pricking against my eyes threatening to pour.
"I gotta go for a few days"
He said looking down ,
I can't loose him again.
"No, Theo dont ....dont do it again ,"
I whispered my voice cracking
"Mackenzie, I got to ill be back, I promise "
He whispered hugging me
"I can't go through this again, Theo......I gotta go"
I said pushing him away seeing his eyes glassy like he was about to cry, I wasn't gonna let him make me feel bad.
I jogged away feeling the tear spill out.

I sat at home until 9 crying my eyes out, I knew he left.
