chapter 8- wolfsbane

It was finally Friday, and the principal decided to be nice and give us today off since there was still some maintance to be done.
I currently sat at home alone watching television in my room,my parents still had work however.
A sound of a door opening slowly pulled my attention away from the TV and down the stairs.
I switched off the TV and grabbed one of my swords out of my drawer extending the blade, I got out of my bed and slowly walked towards my door which was open and peeked out.
  I didn't see anyone or hear a heartbeat, I had a bad feeling. The dread doctors dont have a heartbeat.
I slowly grabbed my phone and tried calling Scott he was the closest to me
"Come on Scott answer"
I whispered to myself,i could fight them off but they still are more powerful than me and could kill me.
"Hello " a voice called I sighed out of relief
"Scott, there's someone in my house and I think its them are you home?"
I whispered peeking out my door hearing quiet footsteps but no one in sight
"Yes I am, leave your house and come over here now "
He said before I said a quiet ok bye.
I slid my phone in my pocket. I couldn't go out my window I wasn't gonna jump two stories,so my best bet was the front door.
I peered over the balcony looking over the living room then the door , I could make that , I slowly walked down the steps and jogged to the door pulling it open when a sharp pain hit me in my side, I screamed out in pain falling on the ground, I looked up through squinted eyes seeing a man I didn't know, black hair, tall older like 30s.
I held my side "ahh"
I hollered it was horrible.
"W-who are y-you?"
I managed to say
"I am Sebastien valet, and you have something I need, dear"
He said reaching a hand out to grab my dagger necklace, a sudden bolt of energy, rage, and fire. It was the fox, this belonged to the fox it holds a secret it unlocks great power. My mom never explained what exactly it was but anyone that had tried to steal it this happened a bolt of rage, fire and energy, they regretted it.
I pushed his hand away and jumped up
"Oh, someone's fiesty all the sudden,the necklace must be dear to your inner fox"
He said smirking I didn't even bother responding and let the fox take over , this man deserved it.
He ran at me claws out and eyes glowing.
I smirked dodging as he went to scratch me, I spun around jumping in the air and spinning again kicking him in the face down to the ground. I landed on my fist looking up with a smirk. I never knew I could do that.
I walked over and held his throat to the ground ,kneeling over him
"Kono nekkuresu wa watashi no monodesu"
I suddenly spoke in Japanese
(It means "this necklace is mine")
His eyes faded and he seemed scared.
"Nokoshimasu"
(Leave) I spoke again in Japanese.
The man got up and walked away
"I'll be back"
He called before running off into the woods near my house.the fox went away,and I felt the pain.
I walked out of my house shutting the door before limping while jogging to Scotts house.

I made it to his house and knocked on the door falling against it going weaker.
"Mackenzie "
He called helping me inside to his couch, I sat down holding my side squinting my eyes breathing heavily.
"Here,let me take the pain away"
He said wrapping his hand around my wrist my veins near it turning black and the pain sorta going away but still there.
"Is it helping?"
Scott asked still trying to take more away
"A little but not much, ...call Theo"
I said closing my eyes, this happened before and its similar to when the dread doctors slashed my side with claws drenched in wolfs bane.
"Your on speaking terms "
He asked continuing to dial him placing his phone to his ear I avoided the question for now, knowing it would be brought up in the future.
"Yeah, she's hurt bad she wants you here....ok hurry"
Scott said hanging up the phone I looked towards him sighing deeply
"Its wolfs bane "
I said searching for my phone but gave up when I realized it was in my pocket.

Under 2 minutes later the door burst open and Theo came running in over to my side
"Oh my God, Mackenzie , fuck ok we need to get you somewhere where we can treat it, its the wolfsbane"
He said scooping me up in his arms
"We can take her to deatons I'll drive"
Stiles said out of no where making me jump we didn't argue just ran towards his jeep.
Theo sat me gently in the back sitting in next to me, he barley got the door closed before stiles had whipped out of the driveway speeding down the street
"Baby ,stay with me "
Theo said grabbing my face I was slipping ,my eyes were becoming heavy
"We're almost there hold on "
Stiles yelled panicking, I could feel the car picking up in speed
"I -I, it hurts"
I cried out weakly
"I know baby, we're almost there stay with me "
He said trying to keep me awake.
I felt the car stop and everyone on hop out and in the process of Theo getting out and grabbing me my eyes closed I could hear his muffled screams to keep me awake but I was going I was fighting to try but I was slowly losing. Then I blacked out.

Theo's POV

She stopped responding to my screaming and went limp as I sat her on the table
"No! Don't go! Baby , stay with me! Dont go"
I screamed shaking her the man infront of me grabbed a needle filling it
"She's dying help her!"
I screamed as Scott and stiles forced me out of the room as I screamed hoping she would wake up I watched as he injected her with a fluid and taking her pulse before doing other stuff.

Mackenzie's POV

I felt myself coming back, feeling alive again. My eyes slowly pulled open as I looked around squinting at the brightness, I was in deatons hospital.
I sat up on my elbows and looked around seeing nobody
"Theo?"
I called hoping someone was here , I heard quick footsteps before seeing Theo running and opening the door.
"Baby! Your ok"
He said hugging me "erm yeah "
I smiled hodling on to him
"What's wrong?"
He asked noticing my smile fade, I was now worried
"Its just, he was after,....after my necklace....he said he needed"
I said looking up at him he nodded uneasy for me to continue
"Then something came over me, I fought like I never knew I could, and I spoke Japanese."
I said looking up at him his eyes were worried
"This necklace is important to my fox and unlocks a power I guess. "
I said swinging my legs over the table standing up feeling a little sore.
"Be careful babe"
Theo said grabbing my arm, it was like we picked right back up in our old ways.
"Let's just get you home, I will take you"
Theo said, I nodded and saw it was dark outside and Theo was the only other person here.
We walked outside to his truck as he helped me in
"Do my parents..know?"
I asked as Theo begun to drive off he glanced towards me then back at the road
"Yes and they know your back so does everyone "
He smiled I looked at my phone that happened to be in my bag on the floor of his truck.
It was 9, I was tired.

We pulled into my driveway as I got out Theo rushed to my side helping me out "theo I can get out yah know"
I said looking towards my driveway not seeing my parents cars anywhere.
"Where did they go?"
I asked as Theo walked with me to my door I unlocked it and walked inside.

I walked up my stairs still wondering where my parents went
"They were called out on an emergency trip that's all they told Scott"
Theo said as I entered my bedroom shrugging off my shoes, I grabbed an oversized shirt and entered the bathroom
"Of course they did"
I said stripping out of my clothes, it seemed more of my clothes were being soaked in blood since I came here.
I washed away my makeup and cleaned my face, brushing my teeth.
I threw on my oversized tee and walked out throwing my hair in a ponytail seeing Theo on my chair .
I got in my bed and settled in.
"Well I'll let you sleep, I'll see you tommorow"
Theo said walking away towards the door I looked his direction, I dont want him to go.
"Theo?"
I called he turned around to me catching my gaze the light shining onto his making them shimmer.
"Yeah? "
He asked his voice almost a whisper I looked at him through the door
"Will y-you stay with me?"
I asked seeing a small smile appear on his face his eyes closed and he nodded
"Yeah I'll stay"
He smiled walking over to me closing the door behind him.
He climbed in bed next to me as I turned the other way since that's the only position I can really sleep in. His arm wrapped around my  waist and held me close to him
"I won't let anyone hurt you .ever"
He whispered as I drifted to sleep feeling safe for once in days.
