chapter 7- talk

I didn't go to school today not like I could , it was a school maintance day where they fixed systems and all that.
Which means me and Kira are given the duty of finding a few spots where the lair is.
"I think its that underground bunker right next to the power plant it makes since"
I said standing up and sitting on my bed
"I agree, its not to obvious either I mean at least to people who dont know about the supernatural "
Kira said looking over the map again
After coming home last night I guess liam talked to this girl named Hayden and apparently that was her sister that was there last night. She said there was a call about an electrical issue and she walked in to see the beast behind a steel pipe and a dead body in front of it. so I think that's where its staying, and I think that's a dread doctor experiment.
"Well, just in case let's see if there's other possible places"
I said getting up and moving towards her when my phone started ringing.
"Hold on I'll be right back "
I looked down at the number recognizing the number
"Hello"
I called answering it as I walked onto my balcony closing the door behind me, the other end was quiet, and I could hear them breathing
"Mackenzie, "
The person said pausing it was Theo. Part of me wanted to hang up but the other didn't, we were together for awhile and I can't just cut that off even though he did.
"Yeah"
I said I didn't exactly have a plan where this was going, it almost felt awkward.
"I know you probably dont wanna talk to me right now, but I really need to talk to you"
He said stopping again I looked out over the neighborhood sighing closing my eyes.
"Ok, what do you wanna talk about?"
I asked sitting down in a chair that happened be here , crossing my legs.
"Well, I was hoping I could talk to you in person, I'd rather be face to face. "
He said, I looked back through the window of the door at Kira seeing her focused on the map .
If Im thinking about what he wants to talk about then it needed to be done, you can't just leave a situation and not talk about it.
"Ok, where do you wanna meet?"
I asked, I heard shuffling on the other side a a breathe
"Is my house fine?"
He asked I nodded to myself.habit.
"Yeah that's find just text me your address "
I said getting up and walking back to the door
"Alright I will bye"
He said more shuffling coming from the opposite side
"Bye"
I said hanging up, I shut the door behind me I grabbed my bag and placed my phone inside grabbing my keys
"who was that?"
Kira asked as I looked for my shoes I kicked off into the closet earlier
"That was Theo"
I said finding them in the back, I quickly stuffed them on
"Oh, are you going somewhere ?"
She asked rolling up the map and standing up "yeah he wants to talk, it needs to be done "
I said nervousness settling in now . I wasn't ready but I needed to be.
" your right, are you gonna be ok by yourself?" She asked walking down the stairs with me
"Yeah I'll be ok, he won't hurt me. "
I smiled reassuring her, she nodded following me out the door
"Ok if you need anything text me,I'm gonna go over to Scotts and tell him about the lair stuff be safe"
She warned making me laugh
"Will do "
I smiled getting in my car, I sat my bag in the passengers seat and started my car.
My phone buzzed which meant he sent me the address.
I typed it into my GPA before backing out of my driveway putting it in drive and going down the street.

He didn't live to far , two neighborhoods down actually.  I pulled into the driveway parking my car and shutting it off seeing only his truck in the driveway , thank God no one else was here.
I took a deep breathe suddenly becoming nervous, I exhaled and got out of my car locking it before stuffing my keys into my purse.
I watched my feet walked across the pavement until I stopped at his door bringing my fist up and knocking softly.
I heard footsteps nearing the door closer and closer until the door open, I looked up seeing Theo with a small smile that always lied upon his face when ever I was around.
"Hi, ...come inside its cold "
Theo smiled letting me in
"Hey"
I said quietly, why was I so nervous, it was just like old times but different, maybe its because we weren't technically together , and everything that happened.
I followed him into the living room where he sat down on a chair and I chose the couch next to it , sitting on the middle cushion .
  I sat my purse down and looked up at him noticing him staring
"So,what did you wanna talk about ?"
I asked crossing my legs, folding my hands over top.
"I just want everything to be set out, I am so sorry Mackenzie, what I did you didn't deserve and it kills me everyday, you were the one thing I had, you made me feel like I could love again , be loved again "
He said looking up at me I couldn't help but smile so smally hearing those words I know they were true.
But I remember him leaving without a word. I need to know why
"Was it me...that made you leave?'
I asked looking up at him,his face became dead almost, his eyes closed as he looked down
"no, why would you ever think that?"
He asked shifting his back to me I looked away towards a window
" I dont know, you stopped talking to me really didn't tell me if you were ok or anything, you left town a lot and then just left completely. I thought it was me like I did something.
"Oh God no, I'm so sorry you felt like it was never you, you were my everything, my love. I - I just got scared I was afraid I'd mess everything up and scared to be loved anf I did mess it up. Then they threatened me, they told me they'd hurt you if I didn't do what they said and I couldn't let that happen"
He said I saw the hurt in his eyes,he was broken.
Theo is complicated he seems like a horrible person but he isn't, he's just not good with feelings and he was hurt by a lot of people so he built walls ,it took forever to break them and really get to know the real him. To me he was perfect. And somehow he got mixed up with the dread doctors and really messed up. Then i came  along and changed him, he became his self.
"Theo, I never knew, i-"
I stopped myself I didn't know where to go from here having heard him confess everything made me speechless.
"You dont have to say anything else, I just needed you to know, I dont expect you to want to be with me again, or be friends you have every right to be mad and upset with me I hurt you bad, but I'd rather you be mad with me than dead"
He said, he was breaking while saying this, I felt bad, so bad. He is just so misunderstood.
It was like old times all the sudden, I didn't care about being mad at him, we need each other.
I got up and walked over to him and wrapped my arms around his neck pulling him into my stomach hugging him. His arms slowly , timidly wrapped them around my legs hugging me back. I smiled placing my head against his "I missed you "
He whispered against me I smiled running a hand through his hair
"I missed you to "
I mumbled.
Our love is undescribable, no one will ever understand it.
I stepped away letting go of him , he looked up at me and smiled
"Whats wrong?"
I asked seeing his smile fade and he looked down again
"Well, I did something, they made me do something...its bad"
He said throwing his hands up into his hair, I squatted down in front of him
"What?"
I asked pulling his hands from his face.
"They made me bring back all the teenagers that died over the past week which they caused, including Corey and Traci. They want me to lead them as my pack"
He said getting up, I wish he'd never gotten involved, getting out is much harder.
"Fuck"
I cursed standing up this was truly bad.

Pause authors note:
(This basically is were Theo isn't the bad guy I mean, at some parts. But he doesn't wanna work with the doctors and doesn't want the pack the doctors force him by threatening him with hurting Mackenzie or something like that)
Unpause

"Theo you need to tell Scott, he can help "
I said grabbing my purse he looked back at me
"I,uh, ok I will I'll call him"
He said walking over to me hugging me again
"I'm never leaving you again"
I heard him whisper into my hair. I smiled holding onto him feeling safe again, at home.
"I gotta get back home, I'll see you tomorrow"
I said pulling a way from him
"Bye be safe"
He called as I smiled turning and walking away
"I will, bye"
I called walking out the front door shutting it behind me.
I walked to my car hearing the door open
"Wait"
Theo called running over to me grabbing my face and kissing me, I kissed back wrapping my hands behind his neck as his dropped to my waist.
We pulled away a blush evident on my face
"Sorry i-"
Theo started but I stopped him giggling
"Bye Theo"
I smiled getting my car and quickly backing out and off back home. My mom might just kill me today.
