You Are Missing From Me (Book 1)

Part 17 - "I'm a..."

Events passed quickly. The students got called to the great hall by Snape and we stormed in after Harry made an appearance. McGonnagal and Snape had a dual and he left. Preparations were put in place: protective enchantments placed around the school to delay the death eaters, sealing of the known passage ways in and out, students blowing up the foot bridge and everyone got into position around the castle. I went with Harry to look for the horcrux as Ron and Hermione went to the chamber to get a batalisk fang to destroy it. We were following Luna to find a ghost of Rowena Ravenclaw's daughter. Me and Luna let Harry do the talking and Luna left to help elsewhere. I then followed Harry back to the ROR. Harry went around the corner on the 7th floor and ran into someone.

"Well, well, well, if it isn't Potter." Draco spoke and I made my presence known. As I stepped around the corner as well. He looked right at me and time stilled.

"Ari..." he whispered. I bit my lip and nodded my head. A tear escaped my eye, my emotions were all over the place.

"Harry give us a minute." Harry left to find the diadem.

"Draco... I missed you. So much has happened..." He now stood inches from me but he grabbed my arms and silenced me by pressing his lips to mine. I didn't care that we were stood in the middle of a corridor where anyone could see. My arms wrapped around his neck, hands in his hair. He pushed me against the wall as his hands moved from back to hair pulling me closer to him. The kiss expressed every unsaid thought, feeling, emotion that we haven't been able to. It had a sense of desperation mixed in like he couldn't believe I was here. Once we broke apart for much needed air I reached for my locket that he gave me. It had a picture of Draco on the left and a new picture on the right and handed it to him to see.

"The locket I gave you. What do you want me to with it?" he asked confused.

"Open it and find out." I answered coyly.

He opened the locket and was confused by the photo of the baby on the right. He looked between me and the baby photo. "Why do you have a baby in here?" he asked utterly confused.

I just looked at him and said, "Lily, her name is Lily Rose Malfoy."

His eyes bulged from their sockets and he froze for a moment as he processes the information. I stare at his face as a range of emotions show from confusion, to realization, to worry to happiness to panic.

"I'm a... a... dad." He squeaked. I nodded my head. He kissed me again. This one was gentle and a sense of longing behind it. "I'm a dad." He spoke after.

"Yeah, surprise..." I laughed. "bit of a shock right."

"You went through all that by yourself. I'm sorry, I'm so sorry. I love you. You're amazing did I ever tell you that."

"Not in a while." I smirked.

"Where is she is she safe?" he panicked.

"She fine. With a relative of yours actually. Andromeda Tonks and her husband. She has your eyes you know." He rests his forehead on mine.

"I can't believe you did this on your own. I wish I could have been there. Held your hair while you puked. Been there to give you a foot rub and to see her when she was born. I've so much. Ari I will never be able to make it up to you."

"Well, a kiss wouldn't go a miss, I mean I..."

His lips connected with mine. His body hard pressed against his and the stone wall behind me. His right hand in my long black hair and his other on my butt giving a gentle squeeze. His tongue pushed through my lips and explored my mouth freely. My moan being swallowed by his mouth. Our lips broke apart but his began a trail down to my neck. I tilted my head making more room him. We were both so engrossed in seeing one another again that neither heard the approaching footsteps.

"Nice to see you again Arianna." An unfamiliar voice spoke.
