Just Your Classic Ch. 3

Authoress Notes: Sorry for not updating I ended up getting sick last week! It was horrible but this is more or less a filler chapter haha.

It's been a week since school started. I never had real time to talk, talk to Sam. Which is fine, I have to prepare my heart for any talking with him. Today Aunt Sophia called and said she sent money for I can get a dog, she would feel better if I had one that can guard me since I live alone. 

I called Molly and Lily up and asked if they wanted to go to the animal shelter with me. They said yes and I then asked if they can bring Josey so I could get to know her better. They were happy that I was trying to get to know Josey.

I was on my way in my car to the animal shelter and was actually pretty happy. I couldn't wait to have a dog again! And I won't be so lonely anymore. I pulled in and saw Lily and Molly talking outside Molly's car.

I parked next to them and got out. "Where is Josey?" I ask.

"On her way," Molly said.

We waited for Josey and then she finally pulled in. She got out and smiled and walked over.

"Sorry I'm late I was with Sam and we fell asleep," Josey laughed.

I forced a smiled, "It's fine." No it was not fine! I wanted to be the one that fell asleep with Sam.

I walked on ahead not wanting to hear what Josey said to Molly and Lily. I walked in and there was that cute guy in my math class. He lifted his head and he smiled. I walked over and stopped at the counter.

"Hey, you are in my math right? Uhh hold on Mia Holland right?" Justin asked.

"Y-yeah, Justin Stole?" I asked but really I did know his name.

"Yep, here to adopt?"

"Yeah," I smiled.

"Oh hey Justin," Josey came over.

"Hey Josey," Justin said.

I frowned, first Sam and my friends and now my crush. Geesh did she want to take my organs also! 

"So Mia are you adopting a cat or dog?" Justin asked me.

I looked up, "A dog, not a puppy though." I said.

"Really? Most people want to adopt puppies. Nice to know someone wants to adopt the older ones." Justin smiled.

"I adopted an older dog when I was little," Josey smiled.

"I'm not surprised you are getting an older dog Mia. Since you rescued a pitbull right?" Lily asked not acknowledging what Josey said.

"Hmm, yeah. If there is any pitbulls here I'm going to adopt it." I said.

"They are so cute," Molly coo'ed.

"Well then ladies, right this way." Justin opened the gate and we walked through.

I listened to Justin about the type of dogs they had and how old most of them were. I then stopped to see a sleek black pitbull. It had white paws, the tip of the tail was white also her stomach and part of her face.[1] I stopped and kneeld down and she came over and rubbed her head against my fingers.

"Mama likes you," Justin kneeld down also.

"She is really pretty, how old is she?" I asked.

"5 years old, since we are getting a lot of dogs she would only have 1 more week to get adopted or we would have too..." Justin didn't finished but I knew what he meant, they would put down this beautiful dog.

"I want her, I don't care how much money she is going to cost....who is that dog?" I asked as another dog in the same cage came over and he was an all black pitbull except a little white on his chest.

"That's Papa he is 6, they came together." Justin explained.

"Is that really their names?" Lily asked.

"Yeah," Justin laughed a bit.

"I'll take them both," I said.

"Really?" Justin asked.

"Yeah really?" Josey looked at me.

"Yes really, pitbulls aren't bad. It's how you raise them, how you raise any dog. I hate pitbulls having a bad name because of the stupid ass people who raise them for thr wrong reasons."[2] I glared at the ground.

"Alright, let's do some paper work then," Justin got up and held his hand out for me.

I smiled a bit nervously and took his hand. He helped me up and he took a minute before letting my hand go. We walked back with him.

I had one leash in each hand, Mama on my left and Papa on my right. I got them in the back of my car and Mama hopped in the passenger seat. I rolled my eyes and then Papa laid down in the back.

"We will come over later so they can get to know us!" Lily smiled.

"Yeah sounds good," I waved as they left which left Josey and I.

"Mia, can I talk to you?" Josey walked over just as I was about to open my door.

"Sure, what is it?" I asked.

"Stay away from Sam, he is with me now got it. I'm surprised he even dated you, you are plain." Josey tossed her hair and then walked to her car.

I clenched my hands and it took all my will power to not go over and punch her. Instead I got in my car and gripped my steering wheel. Mama sniffed my face and licked it. I looked over and petted her head. Then Papa sniffed in my ear and I laughed.

I calmed down and I drove to the apartment. I got Mama and Papa out and I walked them incased they had to go potty. They did. Then it was up the elevator and to the apartment. I opened the door and they walked in and they started to sniff everything.

"Welcome to your new home!" I smiled at them.

I got two water bowls (had to go to Petco really quick and grab 2 more bowls) and I filled them up and set them down and they started to drink the water. I sat on the couch and soon my dogs came over and and sat on either side of me.

After about 2 hours there was a knock and Mama sat up straight and Papa barked. I hushed Papa and walked over and opened to Lily and Molly. They came in.

"Aww they are so cute!" Lily laughed as she pet Papa who licked her.

"Mia you look troubled," Molly looked at me.

"It's Josey, she told me to stay away from Sam," I crossed my arms.

"I knew there was a reason I didn't like her!" Lily said.

"I never liked her," Molly said.

"But you act friendly with her," I stared at them with a confused face.

"Yeah well, it felt like we had no choice," Molly sat down.

Lily and Molly then talked about how they didn't like Josey for the next hour. I was glad they didn't like her and were on my side it made me really happy.

[1] I described my pitbull Diamond! She is so pretty and lazy and happy haha

[2] This is true and I hope everyone knows that! It gets me mad when people don't like pitbulls with out good reason to it. Have you not watch Pitbulls and Parolees on Animal Planet? If you don't then go and watch it!
