I didn't feel like going to school the next day. I hated to see what would happen if I showed up after all that. I didn't want to see the look on Meagan's face after what I've done. I've hated myself for the mistakes I've done, but doing them around my friends, the consequences would be that they probably wouldn't be my friends anymore. I mean what kind of person would make their friends upset? Especially the ones they really really like? (I say "I mean" a lot.)
When I got there, my friends were actually laughing. So I guess that means that the thing that happened yesterday was water under the bridge? I went to the cafeteria, walked to their table, and said, "Hey." They looked at me as I sat down, and they said, "Hey Jacob." They sounded normal. So I guess it was water under the bridge after all.
We started having a few conversations, until we left the cafeteria.
When we got to class, the loudspeaker came on. "Please pardon this interruption, but will you please send the following students to the office? Austin, Jacob, Brooke, Meagan, Michael, Lauren, Sam, and Daniel. Thank you." I immediately felt sick to my stomach. Michael was in the same class as me. I looked at him and he looked back. We then got up slowly, and walked out.
As we walked down the hall, the rest of us reunited. Meagan was walking beside me. Her hand was almost touching mine. I wish I held it. Not because I want to. But so that she wouldn't feel scared.
Finally, we made it to the office. When we got there, I stopped beside the door, looked back at my friends, and said, "Guys. I just want to say, if we're gonna die, I want you all to know, I'm happy that I get to die with the people I want to die with. And Austin, I forgive you for everything." "Same here. But does that also include me blurting out things when you and Meagan are together?" Austin asked. "No one's gonna die!" Meagan said, stopping us. "This is just the office." "Well I'm like literally scared and sick out of my shorts right now," I said. "You're thirteen Jacob! Get over it!" Daniel shouted. "I swear to gosh, well you're welcome for me saying that I wanted to die with you guys," I said. "Just wanted to say a good note before we go inside."
I then opened the door and we walked inside.
