A seer appears

A few minutes after what he said, a big puff of smoke appeared in the room. When the smoke faded, a hooded figure appeared, hiding its face.
"That's right," it said. The voice sounded like a raspy whisper, almost sounding like death. "Dude, if you were gonna appear in here, at least don't set of the smoke alarm," I said, coughing. "You are all in grave danger," it said. "I'm pretty sure that after what Michael just told us, I'm sure we probably already knew that," I said again. I felt like I didn't want to take this guy seriously. (Or girl idk. Don't ask about "assuming the gender.") I mean he just appeared out of nowhere, and now he's telling us that we're in danger.
"Silence, Jacob!" It said. "Okay how the heck do you know my name?" I asked. "I know every single one of you since the day you were born," it explained. "Creepy. Why?" Austin asked. "You are all a legend of a hidden prophecy," it said. I got flattered by the way he said 'legend'. "Well before we go into the whole 'exposition' or what not, can you tell us who you are first?" I asked. "That is not your concern," it said. Suddenly, it summoned a huge staff, and he used it up on the ceiling like a paint brush.
Now...13 years ago, in the beginning of January, a secret lab was built. And in the lab, was one baby. That would be you, Austin." It then pointed at Austin. Its hand was old, dark, and wrinkly. Its nails were long and sharp. It looked almost gross. "What about everyone else?" Austin asked. "I'm getting to that," it said, holding up its gross hand. He then painted more pictures of what happened in the lab.
"After you were born, the doctors said they had to take you to the delivery room. Well they were actually scientists disguised as the doctors. They took you to a van, and drove you to the lab." "Dang! This is actually a bit intense!" Michael said, flabbergasted. "Indeed it was," it said. "They then took you to a secret room, and capsulated you. They then did the same to the rest of you four."
"But what happened to our parents?" Meagan asked, tearing up. "Well fortunately, the projects have been compromised because your parents were worried about you all, so they gave you back to them. And through the years, they wanted to continue the experiment. But you all got transferred to many different locations, and they tried to look for you." "And they're still looking?" Brooke asked. "Yes," it said. But when Michael here searched up the answer to your question, that's when I came in. And now the scientists might know eventually that you all know."
Our jaws dropped open. I walked to the bed and put my hand on it and sighed. "Are we gonna die?" Brooke asked, worriedly. "That I do not know for sure. But I know that one of you, will risk their to save you all." "And who would that be?" Lauren asked. "One soul who shows friendship, bravery, courage, strength, compassion, and pure nerve." "And that is?" Lauren asked. "I mustn't tell you. It's safe to keep it censored," it said. "Well now that you got us all worried about it, what are we supposed to do?" I asked. "I must go now. The fate is within your hands now...."
Everyone stood in silence. Finally Michael said," Well...okay." I looked at Meagan who looked away. I heard her sniffling. I walked up to her and placed my hand on her shoulder. "I'm so sorry Meagan," I said. She didn't say anything. She just walked out of the room and ran out the door.
I stood there in silence, and then everyone else left. Except me, Austin, and Michael. "This is all my fault," I said. "I shouldn't have asked." "No. I had to look it up," Michael said. "Well, I made you look it up." I then walked by the door. "I'm going home. I'll see you guys tomorrow."
And just like that, I ran out the door.
