We ran out of the jungle, and back on the white, sandy beach.
"I just got all my strength back," I said. "And I am not in the mood to swim all the way back." "You won't have to," Lauren said. "Because while we were running back here, I have already thought of the perfect plan." "Lauren. With you, every plan is perfect," Austin said.
"Okay, so the plan is, we build a raft," Lauren explained. "We can gather materials from the jungle like sticks, grass, and stuff. Then, once we tie it up and get it on the water, Daniel will sit by the edge of the raft. And then we strap him up, and we'll use his motors to make him go faster." As soon as she said that, we were surprised. "I told you all again," Austin said.
"This is gonna be hard," I said. "I never made a raft before." "You ever seen 'Cast Away'?" Michael asked. "Yes," I answered. "Make it like that," he said. "Okay, we just need a bunch of cardboard boxes and VCR videotape," I explained. Michael made a face. "I'm joking," I said. "Let's just make the raft."
We searched around the jungle and gathered large tree logs for the floor of the raft. Daniel helped faster with his motor. We then got some rope to tie them together. (We found rope on the beach and in the jungle. Must be our lucky day.) We then added a few extra touches with grass and flowers. I also got some bananas I found in a tree. We then got Daniel on the edge of the raft, tied him up, and he tested it with his motors. And it turns out, it actually worked! "Motor raft!" I cheered.
We then got on the raft, grabbed two sticks to use as oars, and we headed off. "That was a really great plan, Lauren," Michael said to Lauren. "I know," Lauren replied. "No I mean...it really was an amazing plan." Michael sat next to Lauren and they both smiled.
"Hey uh, hate to interrupt you two," I said. "But how do we know we're going the right way?" "Just look in the distance, and you may see the big, black building," she said. She pointed toward the distance, and I was surprised that I saw the big, black building.
"They probably have security cameras," I said when we were getting close. "That's why I have two ideas," Lauren said. "One, do the same thing because we were close the last time. Or two, do something different." I'd say the first one, but I'm sure Brooke and Meagan aren't in the same rooms," Sam said. "Yeah, same here," Daniel said. "Okay, I guess we're going with that," I said. "Okay then," Lauren said.
We then made our way to shore. "Here's the plan."
