At work early this morning, luckily I feel much better today and not so exhausted. Or should I say that I did. My day was going quite well until lunch time. On my lunch break today I saw that I had a missed call and calling that number back had to be the worst ten minutes of my life. When I moved to King's county up the road from Atlanta all the way from Los Angeles I wasn't expecting it to be the last time I saw my parents. A phone call to tell you that your parents were murdered was not a phone call I ever expected. Writing this I don't quite believe the words, it doesn't feel real, but when it does I can't stop crying. I mean killed by the gardener, who in his statement called them monsters who he had to kill was not helping the case either. The girls I worked with found out soon enough, once I had stopped crying all over their uniforms. As soon as the rounds were done I could leave. Even Georgia who had her daughter to pick up, let me be the first one to leave. Going home didn't provide much solace though, it just felt so empty. I guess the rest of the night will be curled up in bed watching a film, eating a tub of ice cream.
