It turned out that the woman yesterday had decided that they should try and turn the breathing apparatus off so that the officer can breathe on his own. It was touch and go to begin with, the doctor was worried that we would have to put him straight back on to ventilation, but I'll be damned if he didn't pick up. He is the patient I am rooting for the most to recover. I will be happy to see him walking out of those doors with his wife and little boy. I really hope that I am working that day. Other than that, I have had quite a relaxed day, even went out for tea with the girls, which was extremely enjoyable. I've made some lovely friends here.
