~Chapter Eleven - It's just the Beginning~

“Did your plan work?” Logan asked as soon as I stepped out of my car in the school’s parking lot.

“No,” I shut the door. He walked beside me to the locker.

“What happened?”

“Conner messed up. I messed up. So in the end, the whole plan was messed up.” I shrugged.

“How can you mess up such a simple plan?” Logan wondered. “All you had to do was talk to Blade in person. What exactly happened?”

“Conner typed as text to Blade but couldn’t send it. I threw a stone to his window and it hit his step mother.” I told him. That was a big failure. Like Logan said, I can’t believe a plan that simple would have failed. I should have gone for texting Blade instead of meeting him in person.

“Wait! What?!” Logan stopped. “You did what?!”

“Burst his step mother’s head.” I told him calmly, pulling him with me. “You don’t need to act sobsurprised. And please… don’t tell anyone.”

I was thinking if Conner had told someone. I don’t know him very well yet but he has a habit of running his mouth. Even though I told him not to tell anyone, I’m sure he must be dying to tell someone.

“Will you repeat that one more time?” Logan asked looking at me with wide eyes. He really didn’t believe what I was saying.

“Should I give you a demo also?” I narrowed my eyes at him.

“No!” he flinched away. He remained silent for a long time. His body was shaking as he tried to control his laughter. I gave him a sideways glace and ignored him completely. That was really stupid coming from me. I still can’t believe I was a part of something like that. A stupid plan like that.

When I reached my locker, Conner was already waiting for me. He had my jacket with him. He must be standing there to return it. As if he knew I was heading towards him, he lifted his head to look at me. His skin was a bit pale.

“Your jacket,” he shoved my jacket at me. He looked at Logan who had his face covered with his hand. He was really trying to control his laughter.

“Thanks,” I muttered sarcastically. He either ignored my sarcasm or didn’t sense it.

“We are so going to die.” Conner mumbled after a few moments. “Blade is not coming to school today. And he has invited me over. He saw me yesterday night. He’s so going to kill me today. I’m not going to be your lamb of sacrifice once again. You are coming with me.”

“Yeah,” I nodded my head. “I have to talk to him also.”

“And don’t get angry when I tell him you were the one to throw that stone.” He warned me and then looked at Logan. His eyes widened. “I almost forgot.” He face paled.

“It’s alright. I’ve already told him. And as long as Blade's step mother doesn’t hear that, you can tell Blade anything. Else I’ll put all the blame on you.” I told him. Conner relaxed at my words.

“Hey,” Logan piped in. “I want to know what exactly happened yesterday.”

“I’ll tell you.” Conner slung his arm over Logan’s shoulder and started telling him everything that had happened. I opened the locker and started checking my books.

“I still can’t believe she did that.” Logan chuckled after Logan finished the story.

“Yeah,” Conner agreed. “To say she is so smart. The girl doesn’t even know the difference between a stone and a pebble.”
