~Chapter Fifteen - The Party Ends~
"Would you like to dance with me?"
"Didn't I say no already?"
"I'll keep asking until you say yes." Paul retorted with a smirk on his face. I gave him a tight smile. The effects of the small amount of alcohol that went inside my body had already started kicking in. And I was getting pissed at him. I had to remind myself not to do anything rude.
"I'm not going to say yes."
"Are you going to sit here for the whole night then? Come on, dance with me." He tried to coerce me again.
"I didn't come to this party to dance with you." I mentally winced as those words left my mouth. This is so bad. The real reason why I don't ever drink is not only the dizziness caused by it but the loss of control over my tongue also.
Paul's eyebrows shot up. He then narrowed his eyes at me and then smirked. "Then who did you come to dance with? That date of yours who is already dancing with the third girl? Or is it fourth?"
Damn you. I made a noise in my throat but didn't say the words. My back was towards the dancing area so I didn't know how many girls he had danced with. I was pissed and on the top of that I was slightly drunk. A bad combination. A very bad combination.
"That guy is quite popular among girls. And he even forgot about your existence. Are you sure you are his girlfriend?"
"No, I'm not. I'm not his girlfriend."
"But you want to be." He leaned forward and breathed those words at my face.
"I will be his girlfriend if I want to be. You don't need to worry about that."
"You are so confident of yourself. But looking at that boy you like, I don't think things will work out." He had also started showing his true colors. He smirked at me from his seat and I gave him a flat look and leaned forward slightly.
"Do you enjoy meddling into the business of other people?" I asked calmly. "You might not know this but this habit actually really annoying."
The smirk fell from his face at my words. I mentally face palmed. This is not what I was planning to do.
He sat there speechless and I averted my eyes from him. The awkwardness settled on the table. I wanted to stand up but I didn't want to show my tipsy self to anyone. It'd be great to crawl in a hole. Even if he was such a jerk, I still shouldn't have talked to him like that. It's kind of social gathering crowded by judgmental people.
"You are quite an interesting girl." He commented after few seconds of silence. My eyes shot to his direction.
I understood it completely. He was that type of boy. One who loves challenge when it comes to a girl. Ugh! I hate his type.
"Listen, I don't have time for this. Blade will come here soon."
He looked behind me, at the direction of dancing couples and then smirked once again.
"But he isn't even there. Neither is that girl. I think he left you to spend this night with her in a dark corner."
I glared at him. Blade is not that kind of boy.
"I'm sorry to disappoint you." A voice came. It was then I noticed Blade standing behind Paul. I felt relieved at his presence. Finally he was here. "But if I want to spend a night in a dark corner with a girl then it would be the girl I love."
Paul didn't even turn. His face was calm, as if he was used to these situation. Yeah, definitely a player.
"And that girl is?" Paul tried to test Blade.
