The next day Bella wakes with a start, not remembering getting to her bed the night before. She remembers she was with Shawn. He must have brought her. It's 7:30 and breakfast is served at 8.

"Crap!"

Her roommates are already dressed and doing their hair. No-one bothered to acknowledge her once, except a blonde girl named Madeline. She was sweet. Bella scrambled up and jump in the shower quickly. She got dressed into high waisted jean shorts and a red camp Dakota t shirt which she tucked in. She curled her hair at the tips and got her white converse on. 8:10 she was out the door.

"Not bad," she thought to herself.

She stepped into the cafeteria and realized she wasn't hungry at all. She also realized she had no-one to sit with. She walked through the line, only picking up some fresh cantaloupe to munch at. She saw a pair of eyes keep glancing at her once in a while. It was Shawn. Bella noticed Madeline sitting with some red head girl and took a seat awkwardly beside her.

"Hey," Bella smiled softly at Madeline.

"Oh, Hey Bella," she replied.

The red head was Sam. She scanned Bella with jealous eyes and scrunched her nose almost in a disapproving way.

"Hi Bella, I'm Sam."

"Hi," Bella smiled once again.

This whole thing was awkward for her and her whole body was tense. She kind of just sat there while they chatted across the table about things she didn't understand.

Shawn noice Bella's tight shoulders and the way she played with her curls nervously. He smiled his closed mouth smile and stood up, leaving his counselor friends.

Bella felt firm hands on her shoulders and peered over her shoulder, her long eyelashes flaring at Shawn.

"Hi," he said softly.

Her muscles relaxed slowly.

"Hi," she said back, more comfortable now.

"Wanna sit with me today? You're more fun then those councilor guys anyway."

Madeline and Sam stared in awe while all of this was happening.

"umm," she replied unsure. "yeah, I guess."

They walked over to a smaller table that was unoccupied. They sat across from each other and shared Bella's cantaloupe.

"You're welcome," Shawn said.

"for?" she replied confused.

"Saving you back there. That Sam is a bit of a be-yatch if you know what I mean."

Bella laughed at him and said thank you rolling her eyes playfully.

"You don't have to sit with me if you don't want to.. I'm going to go take a walk anyway.."

"I'll join you then. If you don't mind, that is."

Bella was a bit shocked that he genuinely wanted to come, but was happy about it.

Her heart pattered and she didn't know why. It would be way too basic to fall for the hot boy at camp. It would be like a common chick flick.

They stood up and everyone stared as they walked out the doors. Bella looked over her shoulder and saw many pairs of eyes looking at them. She signaled to Shawn that they had to get out of there before she had a panic attack. He just put his arm across her shoulders and walked quicker.

They finally were out of there and Bella stopped holding her breath.

"Do you have anxiety?" Shawn asked.

Yes she did. But Bella also had more than that. She suffered from suicidal thought and has attempted to hurt herself in the past it wasn't until a month and a half before that she had gotten better, but not 100 %.

She debated with herself in her mind. Do I tell him? Do I not? Will I scare him away? Can I trust him?
She decides she doesn't want to freak him out any more than she probably already does.

"Yeah, I do.." She tried not to make it sound like she was hiding something but Shawn was a very good people reader.

"There's more," he said softly, " isn't there.." As if he already knew.

"Shawn.. I- I don't want to freak you out.."

"You won't, Bella. Walk with me."

She trusted him. She would tell him maybe now.. maybe Later.. she wasn't sure.
They walked in silence for 10 minutes and Shawn stopped and looked down at Bella, standing tall.

"You can tell me anything, Bella. I know we just met but I'd really like to get to know you."

"Shawn.. We just met and you feel like the greatest friend I've ever had. Even my best friend (Jess) back home really doesn't seem to care about me or anything but herself. I don't want to ruin that with my sad background."

"You won't. Please confide in me. I can and want to help because I DO care about you."
He had a worried look in his eyes.

"Okay walk with me and I'll tell you everything. It may be hard. Hard to hear and hard to say."

"Come," he guided her, continuing down the path. "You can tell me anything.."
