I feed Shawn and I do this for the next two days. I care for him like he was my own child. I loved it. I love being his best friend. He was so thankful and and sweet and precious while her slept... did I just say that?? Anyway it was great.

It was great until I realized that camp was over in a day and a half. Shawn didn't live within 3 hours of me and I wouldn't be back at this camp for a year. Of course there's Skype and FaceTime and texting but who could I embrace when no one else was there? Who could I count on to make me smile when I didn't feel like it?  I would have to go back to being a freak in school without a true best friend by my side. Jess was good but I have a feeling there's something going on behind my back involving her.

I stay up late each night tending to Shawn, and I'm up before sunrise every morning. I want to make these days last for as long as they possibly can. With every minute I was closer to departing from my bestest friend. Each hour my heart grew heavier.

Shawn was walking around and his fever was back to normal. He just had to take it easy on his concussion for a few weeks. Finally, the worrying tiredness was gone from his expression. Anxiety filled my heart like boiling water as we were instructed to begin to pack. It was the day before before we were getting picked up, mid afternoon.

Shawn had to lift the suitcases because I couldn't carry them, even though they were empty. He did it like it was nothing at all. He packed his stuff while I kind of procrastinated and wandered around. I could see the pain in his face as well as he folded summer shirts into the pockets.

Shawn's POV

I didn't want to leave her. My chest hurts and not because of my injuries. This pain comes from a heavy heart.

Bella's POV

As Shawn zipped up the case I tried choking back my tears. I told him I had to pee and slipped into the bathroom quickly.

I let the tears silently drip down my face, seeming to kiss my cheeks. Just when they seemed like they were stopping, they came back harder until it was hard not to scream. I guess I was in there for quite some time.

I heard a light knocking on the door.

"Bella..um...are you okay in there??" Shawns voice radiated through the hollow walls.

I had to show him I wasn't upset. What could I say?!?

"Um yeah... I'm.. just... I'm.. im on my period.."

My face cringed at the awkwardness.

"Okay.. do you need anything?" He always worried about others. How beautiful. "Bellz?..Chips? A drink? A hug?"

I smile. He has a sister he knows what a period entails.

"I'm okay Shawn thank you."

"Are you sur-..." he started to realize how unconvincing my voice was and how weird I've been acting.."Bella you aren't on your period are you?"

Shawns POV

Something was up. She would have told me if she got her period and asked for some chips earlier or something. I know Bella and she was lying. For what reason, I'm not sure.

Bella's POV

I didn't answer.

"Bella what's wrong?"

He got scared when there was no reply..

"Bella?!.... open the door bellz.."

I silently got up and Unclicked the lock. We both turned the knob at the same time and I just stared at the tile when it creeked open.
