Lily was lying down on her four-poster bed in her dormitory as she stared at the ceiling. She savoured every second she had to herself while everyone was still in the Great Hall, eating supper.

She was internally arguing to herself about what happened between her and Scorpius:

Everyone will find out soon.

I don't care.

They're going to hate you.

They can't hate The Chosen One's daughter.

Even your family will hate you.

But if they get to know him better...

You don't even know him.

I know him enough?

Everyone's going to hate you.

Shit, I know.

Lily barely noticed that Alice was already there in front of her, with her brow arched.

"Why didn't you join us for supper?" Alice asked, her hand on her hips.

"I'm not hungry, that's all. " Lily merely shrugged.

As a matter of fact, Lily was starving. She just didn't want to go to the Great Hall with Scorpius, knowing that people would freak out when they see them together. If there was one thing Lily avoided, it was being the talk of the town. Moreover, if it was about her personal life. Seeing her with Scorpius would most certainly not help her blend in the background.

"Oh, so I suppose you don't want this piece of heaven?" Alice raised a bag of treacle tarts, a smirk on her face...

She knew Lily too well.

Lily took a moment to decide whether or not she'll give in to the treacle tart temptation or to play along with not being hungry so she could keep the kiss a secret, but her stomach gave her away by letting out a loud grumble.

Alice laughed and handed her the bag as she laid down on Lily's bed.

"I knew it!" Alice's beamed. "Now, spill!"

Lily inhaled deeply before telling Alice everything that happened between Scorpius and her.

Alice, being herself, kept reacting and interrupting every time Lily got to the good parts. When Lily finally finished, she waited for her friend's response, anxiously.

Alice paused, her eyes narrowed and her mouth open with shock.

Lily frowned and pushed Alice, lightly.
"Oh, so now you decide to keep quiet?"

"Bloody hell." Alice finally answered back, still wide-eyed.

"Not the answer I was expecting..." Lily sighed and rolled her eyes.

"I think I'm in love with Albus--"

"EW. OKAY, BLOODY HELL IS BETTER. I THINK I'LL STICK TO BLOODY HELL." Lily shouted with disgust as she covered her ears.

"I'm kidding! But it was really sweet of Albus." Alice laughed and nudged Lily. "So, are you and Scorpius a thing now?" Alice finally asked.

There it was, the question that has been inside Lily's head ever since Scorpius' lips met hers, but it remained unanswered.

"... I don't know."

"He fancies you, no doubt. But are you together-together?"

"I don't know. We don't talk much."
