12:35am

"Shit.." I mumbled sleepily hitting my toe on the door as I came out the bathroom. I nearly slammed my door back and climbed back in my bed until I heard a sound downstairs. When I fully pulled the covers over to me to head back to sleep another sound that was louder made my eyes shoot wide open.

I paused for a minute to see if I heard anything else, but it was nothing but dead silence

I pushed the covers back and reached under my bed pulling out a baseball. As the noises continued, I grabbed my phone only to see that the service was cut out completely and my heart was pounding.

"Fucking ridiculous." I sighed in agitation and slowly climbed out of bed. I tip toed out of bed and went to my windows to see if anyone was outside. The streets were empty with few cars passing by. I then slowly opened my room door and peeked out to my slightly lit  hallway and headed out carefully.

Once I got downstairs, I looked around with the bat held high in my hand seeing nothing in my view but the head lights of a passing car reflecting through my window.

I then headed to my kitchen, seeing the shadow of something outside tapping on the glass.  My blood pressure nearly escalates. I raised the bat high above my head..

A tree branch.

The tree branch waved back and forth occasionally hitting the glass. I lowered the bat and placed my hand over my heart and took deep breaths.

"Yeah..my ass has officially gone crazy."

I poured me a cup of ice water and took a big gulp out of it feel the coolness flow threw my body as I relaxed.

Clank!

I turned around quickly seeing a tall figure standing in the darkness of my living room in front of the doorway of my kitchen. I felt the glass shatter beside my feet and I jumped out the way. My heart my pounding. I was wide awake.

The figure stepped into the light. The stranger was dressed in all black making it impossible to figure out who the person was.

"Oh no, please don't." I said quietly. I thought this was going to be the end of me.

The black ski mask only exposed the eyes. He chuckled deeply and tilted his head to the side. His breathing was loud and clearing as he inched his way towards me and I closed my eyes fearing for my life. He hummed something, but I didn't know what it was.

I felt his gloved hands trail up between my thighs and something cold touching the outside of my skin, something that felt like a knife.

With his face in front of mine, his eyes gave off a dark vibe.

I touched his face searching a place to start to pull off the mask. I reached around the back of his neck finding a spot and brought my fingers around to the front where his chin was and began to pull. I first exposed his plump pink lips first. I furrowed my eyebrows and pulled it up more exposing the light freckles and his now dark brown eyes.

"What the-"I stopped in dead sentence from him covering my mouth and I pushed him away. I was beyond freaked out.

"What are you doing in my house?!" I nearly yelled. And he tried to grab at me but I went the opposite way.
