WARNING: This chapter will contain some graphic scenes dealing with murder and psychological issues in writing. It won't be too gruesome, but if you get triggered easily, i suggest you skip August's part (or this whole chapter).

*if you see a paragraph or sentence italicized  , you're reading the psychological part (Mental ill)  of this person. Hopefully that makes sense.

Don't say I didn't warn you! Enjoy!

Chris

"Wait, let me get this right.." She said as we walked through the streets of California. It wasn't crowded as usual due to the fact that people had to go to work early the next morning. I admired the beauty of her skin as it glowed with night upon us.

"You nearly caused your sister's death?" Aubrey asked in a concerning manner.

"She's not technically dead." I shrugged and she looked at me in disbelief.

"What?"

"Why are you so nonchalant about it- I mean that's your sister." Aubrey began to fuss at me but I rolled my eyes and she continued on. She looked cute when she got mad at me.

"It was by accident. I didn't mean to get that upset." I defended myself. "And besides, a choke hold isn't a near death experience." I stated and she shook her head.

"And you really think that's okay?"

"No, it's not. It was just the heat of the moment when I was upset." I said looking down at her and she stared at me for a bit and looked the other way in silence. I noticed that she moved away from me a little bit. We continued walking in silence. I nudged her a little bit to get her attention.

"What?" She asked softly.

"You don't think I'm some deranged killer do you?" I asked. She moved her head side to side a little bit and bit her lip like she wanted to say something but refused to say it.

"Did she place charges on you?" She then asked cautiously.

"Nah, my cop of a stepfather sent me to boarding school and anger management classes. He thought it we be best. It wasn't though. Just made me hate the man more."

"I'm sorry." She said genuinely.

"It's okay, really. A year later, I soon found out a thousand miles away in Ohio that my mother passed away, but that's another story for another day." She nodded letting me know that she understood how I was feeling.
