Lacey's POV
I felt my breath hitch in my throat. I wanted to hold back from talking about the Travis thing to him right now. I just wasn't ready, but I need to get ready now since he's here.
"What's a matter?" Harry said, parking the car.
"My dad is here," I simply respond, trying my best to hold back tears.
He sits there for a moment before responding, "Do you want me to uh stay and make sure everything is okay?"
"If you want," I shrug getting out.
I walk a few feet down to my fathers car. His widows are tinted, so I lightly knock on the window. I wait a minute before he finally opens the door.
"Hey Lace, how you doin hunny?" My dad slurs.
I gasp quietly, taking in the image of my father. He has a bottle of whiskey in his hand, with his head leaned back. My father used to be a huge alcoholic when I was 11. He would go to the bar almost every night, and won't come home until around 3 or 4. But finally after 2 years of that, he finally got some help and over came that habit. He hasn't had a drink until now.
"Um dad what are you doing here?" I ask nervously.
"I was thinking last night that I want you to move back home. Get your things packed, your coming home tonight," he slurs taking another swig of his drink.
I grow the courage to snatch the bottle out of his hand and throw it on the ground. "Dad this is not okay! You promised me that you would stop drinking. Just because all of this happened doesn't mean you have to go and break your promises," I yell not realizing tears were streaming down my face.
"You don't have a say in anything! Your moving back tomorrow! Better say your goodbyes!" He said, equally loud.
"Dad, I'm 18 you don't have a say in anything. So no, I will not move back tomorrow." I walk away not realizing Harry was behind me the whole time. That's just a little embarrassing.
I walk straight past Harry, and into the apartment building. I could feel the tears pouring down my face as I walk up the stairs. I cant believe he actually had the nerve to drive up here and demand me to move back with him. And on top of everything, he was drunk out of his god damn mind. This really makes me just want to pull my hair out.
I go into my room and sit on my bed, letting the tears come. I've always been so good at hiding my emotions but right now I cant. I hear footsteps and quickly wipe my tears away, not wanting anyone to see me at my vulnerable state.
"Hey can I come in?" Harry said in the door way.
"Uh yea sure," I reply weakly.
He walks over to me, sitting next to me. He puts a hand on my back and rubs small circles on my back. "Hey everything is going to be okay," He soothes.
I nod, goosebumps raising on my skin.
"Do you want to go to a party with me tonight? You don't have to if you don't want to. It might give you a chance to get to know some people," He lightly smiles.
This might actually be a good time to get to know some people around here. I've never been a party before so I honestly have no clue what to wear, but oh well.
"Sure I'd love to," I smiles giving him a quick hug.
"Great, Ill be back over at 7:30 to pick you up," He smiles, his dimples showing.
Wow sorry guys this chapter really sucks. Ill make it up to you I promise. xoxoxo
